Description
- Improper disposal: JCJenson created Worker Drones with a built-in "wdOS_606" program to terminate their AI and prepare them for disassembly. A zombie drone is created when a Worker Drone is not properly purged during the decommissioning process, allowing a chance for the drone to reboot on its own.
- Absolute Solver corruption: While most improperly rebooted drones return to normal, a tiny fraction—just 0.7%—can become infected with the Absolute Solver program, leading to "potentially hazardous mutations". Cyn, the series' primary antagonist, was such a drone.
- Cyn's role: Cyn was the first well-documented zombie drone host of the Absolute Solver. She reanimated on her own from a junkyard pile, eventually causing the human massacre on Earth and spreading the Solver program.
- Corrupted appearance: Zombie drones often have a decayed, damaged look, with leaking oil, cracked screens where their eyes should be, and mauve-colored eyes.
- Hostile behavior: Unlike normal rebooted drones, a Solver-infected zombie drone is a dangerous, unpredictable threat.
- Absolute Solver power: If infected, a zombie drone can access the reality-bending abilities of the Absolute Solver. These can include:
- Telekinesis
- Object manipulation
- Reality distortion
- High temperature: As shown by the "zombified" version of Uzi, zombie drones experience dangerously high core temperatures due to their inability to produce or consume oil, which sends them into a violent, oil-seeking rampage.
- Zombie Drone: The physical vessel, a drone that was improperly disassembled and rebooted.
- Solver Drone: A drone, whether a zombie or not, that is infected with and can use the Absolute Solver's abilities.
- Infection source: While a zombie drone can be infected with the Solver during its reactivation, a Solver infection can also be passed down hereditarily, as in the case of Uzi
