Keen Hearing and Smell. The small dog has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Fearlessness. The small dog has advantage on saving throws made to resist becoming frightened.
Domesticate. The small dog may choose one creature to gift their special item Clover Link once in its lifetime and activate its effect. Under this connection, Yami acts independently on its owner, but will always obey its commands. In combat, it rolls its own initiative and acts on its own turn, taking actions as normal, but can never attack.
Lick. Yami licks someone within 5 ft. of him. This does not affect anything mechanically.
Jump. Yami can jump up to 3 ft. to retrieve an object not heavier than 2 kg.
Sleep. Yami will sleep anywhere within 15 ft. of its owner lasting up to 8 hours as long as it isn't woken up by any of its abilities.
Whimpering Plead. When its owner is visible and is within 60 ft. makes an attack roll or an ability check, Yami uses its reaction to whimper and subject all creatures with a positive disposition towards canines to its puppy eyes causing them to feel sad or down, as well as rolling its owner's hit die, and adding the number rolled to its owner's roll. Yami may use this feature after its owner makes its roll, but before the GM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails. If used in combat, the owner is instead distracted, losing focus on their active spells. This reaction may only be used three times per encounter.
Shake. After interacting with water, roll a 1d4. After the rolled number's amount of turn(s), Yami will shake its fur and everyone within 10 ft. of him gets an unrealistic amount of water on them.
Alert. Upon sensing footsteps within 120 ft. towards its owner, given that the creature is coming from outside a room, Yami will use all of its movement to try and reach the nearest doorway relative to its position, or otherwise stand close by in anticipation for an incoming creature, ally or otherwise. He will not bark nor be able to inform his owner of the creature's hostility in any way, instead only wagging his tail in anticipation.
Description
A small, but heavy (8 kg.) shih tzu puppy with relatively short black fur on its body and white fur on each of its limbs, chest, and tail. While its head mostly consists of black fur, its snout, along with a tuft of hair in the middle of the top, as well as a very small spot on the back of its head is white.
Due to its size and tendency to sleep anywhere, it's often mistaken as a small rug.
