Nullification Aura. The zalaghu emits a invisible aura in a 30 foot radius around itself, if the zalaghu is incapacitated or unconscious the aura is not in effect. Magical effects, spells of 6th level or lower and magical items cease to function within the aura, being dispelled upon entering the radius. Casting a spell of 6th level or lower automatically fails while within the radius, magical effects and spells cast from outside the radius that target a creature or point within the aura also fail to take effect.
Magic Resistance. The zalaghu has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Spider Climb. The zalaghu can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Multiattack. The Zalaghu makes 2 horn attacks.
Acid. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 30 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (3d6+4) acid damage.
Horn. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10+4) piercing damage.
Description
Demonic Hecklers. Found in the abyss among other demons, zalaghu are notorious for their bothersome nature. When not part of the demonic armies in the blood war they group up in gaggles and pick on both weaker and stronger demons alike. A lone zalaghu will not be as inclined to heckle others, but sees no hesitation when bunched up together or put with a demon that is stronger than itself.
Nullifying. The unique trait that the zalaghu possess is the field of negative energy that it exudes around themselves. Inside the invisible aura most magic is nullified and magical items cease to function while inside the field. While not strong physically, they are important assets to demonic armies as they are sent in to pester magic casters by denying them their magic.
Caster's Nightmare. Because of their nullifying aura, anyone who uses magics will find these demons to be extremely bothersome but also dangerous. Their tactic in battle with other demons is to find somewhere out of reach that they can climb up to, either a wall, perch or onto a bigger demon. While making sure that their aura reaches the caster they seek to heckle, and spitting lobs of acid their way.
