Traits

Incorporeal Movement. The wyrd can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.

Actions

Multiattack. The wyrd makes two draining sphere attacks. After attacking with a sphere, another sphere instantly appears in the wyrd's hands. The wyrd cannot be disarmed.

Sphere. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6+3/1d6+8 vs Elves) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or its hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the damage taken. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this effect reduces its hit point maximum to 0.

Description

How long must an elf hate before it is corrupted? They have enormously long life spans , but rarely become undead out of thier own actions. Wyrds are formed by elves that succumbed to thier own greed.  Some say that they are evil spirits in the body of elves, but good hearted elves never seem to become them.

Eldrich Horrors: There are two types of Wyrds. a few rare ones are more powerful in thier durability and strength, the more powerful the elf, the greater the chance that they become the more power version of the Wyrd, Wyrds hoard over their personal treasure that they had in life, or another greater treasure that they died acquiring but never got a chance to spend. They will attack any creature that gets near it, but hate Elves more then anything else.

Orbs of Sorcery: Wyrds conjure some sort of sphere that rots skin when it hits. As soon as one is thrown another appears in the wyrd's hand, they always have a sphere in each hand. The greater wyrds can paralyse with thier spheres, and both do extra damage against elves. They seem to be obsessed with the spheres, the few times that I've been able to observe a wyrd unnoticed they seem to be fascinated my the spheres, staring at them almost lovingly.

Killing Them:
Wyrds are singular creatures, and for a veteran adventurer they are challenging but no too difficult. Elven adventurers in in a greater risk as the wyrd will attack them to the exclusion of anyone else. This can be an advantage if you have an elf that doesn't mind being bait. You will need silver or enchanted weapons however, magic will also make quick work of the abominations.
