Snow Stride. Once on its turn, the Masterpiece can use 10 feet of its movement to step magically into nearby snow or ice and emerge from another area of snow or ice within 60 feet the first position, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the exit.
Sentinel. The masterpiece has the Sentinel feat.
Zartha's masterpieces have mastered techniques to take advantage of every drop in any enemy's guard, gaining the following benefits:
- When a masterpiece hits a creature with an opportunity attack, the creature's speed becomes 0 for the rest of the turn.
- Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from the masterpiece even if they take the Disengage action before leaving its reach.
- When a creature within 5 feet of the masterpiece makes an attack against a target other than it (and that target doesn't have this feat), it can use its reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature.
Multiattack. The giant makes two attacks with its greatsword or frostblade.
Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (3d12+4) slashing damage.
Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d10 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Frostblade. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d12+4) cold damage. When a creature is hit with the frost blade, it must succeed in a DC CON save 15 or lose 1d6 of their dexterity points on a failure. On a success, the creature takes an additional 1d10 cold damage. When a creature's dexterity hits 0 it becomes petrified by ice. The creature can be thawed by direct sunlight for 1 day or direct fire for 8 hours.
Sentinel Reactions. The Masterpiece can take sentinel reactions.
Description
Icewixes can shape themselves into Zartha's Masterpiece because they possess the Tattoo of Winter's Wrath. For each round that they are in this form, they take 1 point of exhaustion when they revert to their normal body. The shape automatically ends after 42 seconds (7 rounds). If used for 7 rounds the Icewix immediately reverts to his original self and dies.
