Pack Tactics. The wulfdeyr has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the wulfdeyr's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Charge. If the wulfdeyr moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 6 (1d8+2) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Rear. If the wulfdeyr's passive perception is greater than a stealth roll made to approach it, the wulfdeyr can rear and alert its allies, negating sneak attacks or ambush rounds.

Description

Named for its hybrid wolf-deer appearance, the wulfdeyr is a terrifying force of nature. These nocturnal creatures feed on carrion and bones left by diurnal predators and supplement their diets with leaves, berries and tubers. They travel in hunts of 3-5 females and up to 2 males. Females can be up to seven feet tall at the withers. Males are smaller and have shorter antlers. Their pelts are often gray or tawny, but can range from silver, off-white, blond, black, red- or orange-ish, and brown. Wulfdeyrs typically have darker manes and rumps and lighter underbellies. Fawns are dappled with white spots. Both females and males have long, elk-like antlers up to 5ft in length, but only males shed. Females are aggressive and territorial. The hierarchy of a wulfdeyr hunt prioritizes females and fawns first and bucks last. Once they reach maturity, male fawns break away from their hunt and travel alone to find new ones. If a buck fails to join a hunt by mating season, they either wander alone or challenge other bucks for their place.

In spite of their aggressiveness, does are often portrayed in folklore as strong, benevolent, quest-giving figures that aid heroes they deem equal in might. They may even serve as the hero's mount, but this is almost unheard of in real life. Usually, a doe in such a story will part with the hero at the end to care for her fawn.

Wulfdeyr are sometimes hunted for their antlers and pelts. Their manes are especially prized as trophies, accessories, and travel-wear. Their meat is notoriously gristly and carrion-flavored, not to mention dangerous.
