Creatures that are resistant to fire damage automatically succeed on this saving throw. If any open fire (such as a torch or flaming sword or sparks) is present within this area or enters the area within the next 10 minutes, the entire are bursts into flame for the next 3 rounds. The area now deals 2 (1d6) points of fire damage every round to all creatures who enter the area for the first time or end their turn in the area.

Description

Description and Nature
Zezir are medium sized raptors with an uncanny use of sparks and flame. They have powerful hind legs with two more slender, but still muscular forelimbs from which sprout three long curved claws each. The creatures reptilian head features an unusually wide mouth full of sharp teeth. Its red hide is rough and pebbled, with narrow bands of black across its back, legs, and its long thick tail. They have the ability to expel a sticky , super heated flame from the glands in their neck that sets opponents ablaze.  They can also shoot a stream of sparks from their mouth at a single opponent.

Zezir packs have been known to attack desert merchants and caravans and set them alight, retreating beyond the range of the retaliation to cavort in joy as the entire caravan goes up in smoke. The creature actually feeds on ash, so their infatuation with fire provides them with sustenance. However their love for fire also stems for their own natural chaotic nature and innate love for destruction. Male and female zezir participate in hunts equally and the pack shares the responsibility of raising young by  means of yips, growls and whines. Zezirs tend to hunt in packs of 3 to 8. Also, despite looking a lot like lizards, they are apparently slightly more closely related to birds and avians.

Combat
Zezir are fast and agile, but not particularly stealthy. A pack typically post a lookout near the site of a possible ambush, while the rest of the creatures lie in wait a few hundred feet away. Once possible prey is spotted, the zezir scouts would return and report the size and direction of the target. The pack then heads off at a run to intercept. Once they reach their objective, they spray their opponents with their sticky flammable spray and following zezirs use their spark stream to set the very air on fire. The zezir often retreat to a safe distance to watch the burning, repeating the tactics if necessary, and usually only fighting in melee only if directly attacked or cornered.

( I tried to balance this creature to 5e, but I haven't played older editions, so I hope it is accurate. I mostly tried to make numbers smaller overall and add in a few things that make sense thematically )
