Why is this enchantment when Cause Fear is necromancy?

Keep casting polymorph until the Tarrasque burns its legendary resistances and eventually fails the save. Then PWK as the frog (or whatever you chose) has less than 100 hp

Slug does turn back when it dies, but at that point, it DIES. 
That's not about how PWK works, its about how Polymorph works

If I ever play a Bard to 18th level, I'll choose this spell and have my character sing "Let it Die" while casting it.

Disintegrate is almost always a more efficient spell, unless the target is likely to make the Dex saving throw from Disintegrate such as a monk or rogue, as upcast with an 8th level slot it will average roughly 100 damage, but will still do that damage even if they have more than 100 health left. It will also disintegrate the body if it does kill them, bypassing death saving throws and making resurrection or animation much more difficult 

But what is the word ?

Roll a new PC or revivification

hundret hp or lower that has droped

Get revivified or roll a new pc

I had cast death ward on my paladin who then got hit by this spell.  Is he just dead or should he get back up with 1 hp?

He's just dead.

The description of Death Ward says that it triggers "the first time the target would drop to 0 hit points as a result of taking damage". This spell doesn't do damage in the normal sense; the target is just dead.

So if a sorcerer uses subtle spell while casting this, does it become power thought kill? Imagine being in a room with like 5 other guys and a weirdo in a robe gives one of them a nasty look and he just crumples onto the floor.

i could imagine a BBEG pretending to be hurt to bait out one of these from a player only for it to do nothing

how does this interact with polymorph?
