Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

This Barbarian subclass focuses on being a stable frontline presence for your party while enabling more consistent use of your bonus actions and reactions each turn. Tapping into a largely overlooked fantasy niche (the stout brewmaster), this subclass is full of flavor but also packs a punch in combat.

Bonus Proficiency

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with brewer's supplies.

Bonus Proficiency

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with brewer's supplies.

Keg Tapper - Ironskin Lager

As a bonus action while raging (and as a part of the same bonus action when you begin your rage) you can take a drink from your keg and gain the following benefits:

Ironskin Lager: You drink a fortifying brew to guard against enemy attacks. You gain 1d6 + your Constitution modifier in temporary hit points.

Keg Tapper - Firegut Spirit

You take a swig from a particularly potent spirit that warms you to your core. Upon drinking, you can make a melee attack with your keg that deals an additional 1d6 fire damage. The damage of this ability increases to 2d6 at 6th level and 3d6 at 10th level.

Keg Tapper - Strongjaw Ale

You take strong gulp from a stout ale. Until the start of your next turn, your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you may add your Constitution modifier to Athletics checks.

Drunken Haze

Starting at 6th level, the damage of your keg becomes magical for the purposes of overcoming immunity and resistance to nonmagical attacks and damage.

If a creature moves away from you while within 10 feet of you, you can use your reaction to toss a tankard of slick grog at their feet. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save (DC {{savedc:con}}) or be knocked prone.

Potent Brewer

Starting at 10th level, your brewing ability and tolerance have grown to extraordinary heights. You gain immunity to poison damage and the poisoned condition. Melee attacks made with your keg deal an additional 1d8 poison damage, and enemies you have grappled take 1d8 poison damage at the start of your turn as the potent fumes waft out from your keg.

Drinking Buddies

Your fondness for the drink has started to affect your allies as well. Starting at 14th level, you can select a number of allies equal to half your proficiency bonus, rounded down, at the start of your rage. While you are raging, you can use your reaction to toss a swig of Ironskin Lager to a selected ally within 30 feet when they take damage from an enemy. This brew is particularly potent for an untrained drinker, restoring 1d6 + your Constitution modifier hit points to your target. Drinking this brew is considered a free action for your ally, but they must be conscious to benefit from it.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all uses when you complete a long rest.
