Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Some fighters specialize in the sword, and others in the bow. As for you? You are an elite fighter, called an Aagis, who specializes in the use of shields. To you, shields should not only be used to defend yourself, but also to attack and defend others.

Shield Expertise

3rd-level Aageis feature

Your extensive training with shields allows you to use them in a variety of ways. You learn the Protection or Interception Fighting Style (your choice). If you have already learned one, you automatically learn the other. Additionally, if you are holding a shield, you can take the Shove action as a bonus action. Also, when you take the Attack action on your turn, you can use a shield for the attack, which deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

Shield Warrior

7th-level Aageis feature

You become more skilled in the use of the shield. When you attack with a shield, the damage you deal increase to 1d8. Additionally, whenever a creature friendly to you is within 5 feet of you, they gain a +1 bonus to AC.

Forceful Combatant

10th-level Aageis feature

Your expertise with shields deepens. When you hit a creature with a shield on your turn, you can also force that creature to make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength score). On a fail, you can take the Shove action as part of the attack you made with your shield.

Shield Striker

15th-level Aageis feature

You have mastered the art of attacking with shields. The damage you deal when you attack with a shield increases to 1d10. Additionally, when you are wearing a shield and a creature misses you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to attack that creature with your shield if they are within 5 feet of you.

Shield Master

18th-level Aageis feature

You have legendary experience with the shield. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you wear a shield, you gain a +4 bonus to AC, rather than +2, and friendly creatures within 5 feet of you have a +2 bonus to AC, rather than +1.
  • When you wear a shield, bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage dealt to you is reduced by 6.
