Base Class: Fighter
There isn't enough time in your life to hear the backstory of this individual. The anime swordsman's past is shrouded in mystery, and you can bet this fighter's parents were gruesomely murdered in his or her formative years.
Gloating Monologue
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, as a Bonus action on your turn you can loudly and deliberately make a long-winded monologue aimed at a creature explaining exactly how you've just gained the upper hand and have been holding back in some ridiculous and obscure way. Make a Charisma (Intimidation) or (Performance) check contested by the target's passive Wisdom (Insight). If you succeed, you have advantage on the next melee attack you make against the target creature on this turn.
Haunted Yet Convenient Past
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Intimidation or Performance (your choice).
The Power of Friendship
Starting at 7th level, when a creature drops one of your allies to 0 hit points in sight, you go into a blind rage and attempt to REVENGE them. You have advantage on all melee attack rolls against the creature that downed your ally, and disadvantage on all attack rolls against any other target. This effect ends if the target dies or your ally regains at least 1 hit point.
Plot Armor
Starting at 10th level, when rolling for death saving throws you only suffer one failure when rolling a 1, and you regain 1 hit point on a roll of 19 or 20.
Untapped Potential
Starting at 15th level, you gain a climbing speed equal to your current walking speed. This benefit works even when moving up or across completely flat, smooth surfaces, but only in short bursts; you fall if you end your turn on or against a surface and nothing else is holding you aloft. Additionally, the Extra Attack feature from the Fighter class now applies when you take the Ready action to make an attack.
Ridiculously Impractical Ultimate Attack
Starting at 18th level, as an Action you can make a single melee attack against a creature with extra anime power. A massive explosion forms from the power of your convictions and monologues and each creature in a 40-foot-radius from your target excluding yourself must make a Dexterity saving throw. The ability save DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (Your choice). The sphere spreads around corners. If your attack hits, the target takes the damage as normal and makes its save against the explosion at disadvantage. A creature takes 20d6 fire damage and 20d6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.

This is so freaking stupid...
I love it.
Just a small suggestion, make the “power of friendship” ability cause a flashback that lasts for 3d6 minutes, during which time everything else just stands there for... plot reasons.
Also, make it mandatory to use the monologue before the ultimate attack. After all, it’s not like the villain would have the sense to run during that time.
Those count as martial weapons
exactly
Why is a joke the highest rated homebrew subclass?
Yo this subclass's power level just reached OVER 9000, after unlocking its BANKAI, and shifting into GEAR 4!!!
But seriously, super fun and creative subclass my dude! I tip my straw hat to ya, and explain my deep and passionate feelings of friendship and inspiration via an unreasonably long and tearful flashback speech that lasts 2 full episodes.
Only if they don't recover, I guess. Get them back up to 1 HP and the effect ends. 'Course, if you kill your allies I think you'd probably deserve it. Consider your character filled with guilt at his actions and unable to move on until the voices of his friends encourage him in the middle of a losing fight and he recovers from his trauma in time for the big bad.
make one thats just kirito or make a race for kirito
pls msg me when you have
This might be the best subclass of all time
After seeing the reactions of everyone else in my party at the prospect of having this archetype in the group, then seeing their disappointment when the player just handwaves away the Gloating Monologues and acts like a boring unlikable jerk none of our characters consider anything more than an extra pair of hands, I wouldn't let anyone take this subclass unless they were actually going to roleplay it. Yikes.
yes thanks you so much
No, its FIGHTING GOLD
Anyways this class sounds like insane fun if you try to role play it. I need to this subclass someday
I'm disappointed... where's the The Power of God and Anime on My Side feat?
Fighters dont get 4 actions... Noone gets more than 1 action in fact.
The fighter gets 4 "attacks" when taking the "attack action". Meaning they could not use this ability on the same turn as a melee attack without spending action surge.
Also the class is supposed to be a meme :P And if this fighter accidentally kills an ally with it, the power of friendship will trigger targeting the fighter themselves, which is a drawback sorcerer/wizard don't have to deal with.
So, what you are saying is, if someone uses the "Ridiculously impractical ultimate attack" ability and end up killing your own ally you have to either kill yourself or suffer disadvantage on the rest of your attacks forever because of your "The Power of Friendship" ability?
This was actually pretty cool! Great work, very creative!
this is simply AMAZING!
Hilarious
Played this as a level 14 Tomb of Horrors. I made it almost to the end before my gloating monologues got me killed. Super fun Sub Class, made for some interesting moments.
This is actually a pretty well balanced subclass, all things considered.
...but even if it wasn't I'd still upvote it because this is freaking GREAT. 5 stars, friend.
This is the most hilarious "That Guy" class I have ever seen.
