Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

A Warlock who has chosen the the Queen as their patron will excel in Exploration and Social spheres in ways Warlocks normally never do. Following the Queen will give you versatility and options unavailable to most Warlocks and super natural abilities that align you with the Celestial Bees that you gained your power from. Perhaps it was a moment of dire need, and the only voice that answered your call for help was the Queen, and so you took her deal, not even fully aware of the consequences. Your main power is still going to come from being a Warlock. The Queen will grant you unique powers that will give you an advantage in areas you normally may not be able to participate in. You will be able to go out into the world and explore and conquer it.

Accept the Queen as your patron if...

  • You want to use the versatility and unique features to be mobile and find things for your team.
  • You want to control a Celestial Bee and help pollinate the world with it.
  • You imagine your Warlock as torn between Aryssa and Norema, or your Warlock sides with the Sun God.

Building a member of the Pact of the Queen: Like all Warlocks, focus on Charisma first. Do not neglect your Constitution. If you want to make the most out of your connection to your Celestial Bee, do not neglect Wisdom either.

Celestial Bee Ally

Starting at 1st Level, you have a Celestial Bee Ally. For all intents and purposes, the Celestial Bee listens to you and does as you instruct to the best of its ability. If your Celestial Bee should ever die, you may summon a new one during a Short Rest.

Your Celestial Bee cannot Attack or Interact with/Use an Item, as it lacks the proper appendages to use items, but it may take other actions as normal.

During a Long Rest, if the Warlock has a Celestial Bee summoned, the Warlock may create a number of uses of Royal Jelly equal to the Warlock's Wisdom modifier, minimum of 1, plus the Warlock's Proficiency Bonus. Royal Jelly restores 1 Hit Point when consumed. They expire in 24 hours.

The Celestial Bee's stats are as follows:

  • Hit Points: 4.
  • Armor Class: 11
  • Saving Throws: (Strength -2); (Dexterity +2); (Constitution +1); (Intelligence -1); (Wisdom +1); (Charisma +0)
  • Fly Speed: 40

Eyes of the Bee

Starting at 6th Level, as a Bonus Action, you may transform your regular eyes into eyes that radiate celestial energy and pulsate. Your eyes take on the appearance of bees eyes and grant you extra perception and other capabilities. Your normal vision range is not increased.

Specifically, for 1 minute, you can see invisible creatures and objects, you gain Advantage on any Saving Throw against a visual illusion, you cannot be Blinded, you see in normal and magical Darkness. These effects all work out to 120 feet. In addition, your Passive Perception is increased by 5 while this is active.

In addition, if a creature attempts to make an attack against you, you may take a Reaction to impose Disadvantage on that attack by flashing them with the bright light of your eyes.

While your Eyes of the Bee are active, you may change any damage you do to Radiant damage. If you alter damage in this way, you may add 1d6 to the damage done.

You may not use this ability again until you have completed a Short or Long Rest.

Body of the Celestial Bee

Starting at 10th Level, you have furthered your metamorphosis to become like the Celestial Bees. You are now immune to the Poison Condition and Resist Poison and Radiant damage.

At the player's choosing, they can represent this new resistance through the growing of bee-like fuzz or another sort of physical transformation.

True Metamorphosis

Starting at 14th Level, as a Bonus Action, you may trigger True Metamorphosis. True Metamorphosis lasts for 1 minute. When you do so, you immediately also activate Eyes of the Bee, even if you have no more uses of it available.

In addition to all of the benefits from Eyes of the Bee, you have the following:

  • +2 to Armor Class and all Saving Throws
  • 10 Temporary Hit Points
  • Any spell that you cast that deals damage deals an additional 2d8 Poison damage. This damage cannot be converted by Eyes of the Bee.
  • You gain bee-like wings and a Fly speed of 40
  • You gain the effects of Spider Climb
  • As a Bonus Action, you may take the Help action

You may use this once, and then you may not use it again until you complete a Short or Long Rest.
