Posted Sep 16, 2021This is... hard to read. And mostly redundant.
First, there is no regard for the key words and index from D&D 5e, so the descriptions are vague, left open to interpretation and abuse.
But more importantly, pretty much all the class abilities described here are already part of the default rogue skills, making this an overall pointless subclass. You essentially made a subclass to the rogue that is... more rogue. And thematically it's redundant. What is the vibe or flavor of this class? Assassin? There is already an Assassin subclass for the rogue in the PHB and it's pretty ok.
Stealthy: You can "drop disadvantage"? What is even that? There isn't such mechanic in D&D, you negate disadvantage by gaining advantage. Dropping disadvantage is not a thing. Besides, what is even "a tricky place to escape"? Escape from what? When is this applied? Is it a defensive ability? But you trigger it as bonus action so... is this basically immunity to disadvantage? The more I think about this ability the worst it gets.
Quick stealth exit: Rogues can already dash, hide or disengage as a bonus action since level 2 with cunning action. Which means they can Disengage and Dash on the same round, or Hide and then Dash. Or double dash. What does this accomplish at level 9?
Quick rogue attack: This reads like Extra Attack, only it's for Two-Weapon-fighting. It reminds me of the Monk's extra unarmed strike from their Martial Arts feature, when you burn a ki point you can do Furry of blows and attack more times with your bonus action. However, this is strangely tied to an arbritary number: 4 times. Why 4? That's quite a low number. How much extra damage is this extra attack going to do? You can't sneak attack more than once per round so this is like throwing an extra dagger, 1d4+DEX.
This is a level 13 feature that gives you 1d4+DEX extra dmg per round 4 times a day IF you hit... Useless.
An assassin's wrath: The lack of punctuation on this ability makes it pretty much impossible to understand. But if I got it right, it means that if you land a critical hit on a creature that hasn't acted yet or is surprised, you instantly drop them to 0. But if it's not a crit, then you do 3d6 extra damage on them... which is nothing at level 17. Kind of a weird ability. The level 3 Rogue Assassin ability of auto-crit on these same conditions is better than this level 17th ability.
Again. I don't understand why anyone would play this instead of an assassin rogue.
