First time Artificer and just had a question. On the character sheet it mentions Steel Defender having 20 charges. I understand how charges work as a concept but it's just that it doesn't state what the charges are for.
With the Armour of Magical Strength it clearly states it has 6 charges and that a charge must be expended when you want to use one of its features. However the information on the character sheet don't say what the charges are for or how/when their regained as the steel defender, in my mind, is just a larger homunculus servant which doesn't have charges.
That's really strange, it shouldn't have charges in that manner. However, right at level 3 odds are decent that your Steel Defender would have 20 HP, maybe that's what is supposed to be displayed?
