I'm making a mech subclass, and when in the mech you have a set ac of 16 but when I go to the character to see if it's working the ac is unchanged on the character. I'm having same issue with setting a fixed value for strength score.
Does the character already have a higher AC? “Set” doesn’t mean “set,” it means “set as lowest possible unless otherwise better.”
Also, keep in mind that the DDB sheet cannot do “temporary” features, stuff that can turn on/off. So if it did work then the sheet would treat you as being in the mech all the time.
In addition, not all modifier subtypes work everywhere. That subtype is tied to that Modifier, and that modifier has other subtypes that work for subclasses. But hiding the subtype in the dropdown is more work than it’s worth compared to the other major stuff they are fixing or the new stuff they are working on implementing at the moment.
As a final pair of notes, after you add/change/remove anything from any type of homebrew, you MUST re-save the entire ‘brew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button located under Basic Information. Otherwise the system won’t actually recognize that you’re ready. After that you gotta give the system a minute (20 actually) to update everything.
PS- Could you implement the Mech as a monster the way Wild Shape works?
