So this is my first thread post so sorry if I am totally using this wrong, but is there any update on homebrew shtuff? I recently was trying to make a homebrew weapon for my DM so that one of the new players didn't have all this stuff to remember. I am not new to this but it's been about a year since I have genuinely looked at the settings and honestly it feels exactly the same. Maybe I am just stupid but adding reach to the weapon never actually showed up on the weapon itself. Is there a thread that has specifically homebrew updates? When do they plan on adding stuff if not? I have scoured the web and found this problem dating back to 2019. Still no fix?
You can use the Magic Item tool maker to modify an existing weapon and change things - even though it is "magic item" maker, once on your sheet it doesn't make any difference, as the sheet doesn't distinguish whether something is a magic item or not, it is just an item.
Where the maker fails, you can always make custom actions (for attack and damage rolls) and custom items (weight, inventory tracking) as needed.
Making a "mundane item maker" is extremely low priority since we can already pretty much make anything we could ever want to, already.

Adding reach is accomplished b adding the following modifier:
Modifier: Weapon Property->Subtype: Reach
After that modifier is saved you MUST re-save the entire weapon using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under basic information. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to display on the character sheet.
Thank you for replying so fast. Perhaps I am misunderstanding or maybe I am correct but put simply I am very well aware, more so making things have certain aspects. for example adding reach or range to a weapon doesn't seem to work. I haven't tried this part but I would assume turning say a longsword in a finesse weapon wouldn't actually show up in the character sheet. I may be wrong, sorry to cause frustration! Just to my knowledge.
Oh. My. Gosh. I am stupid. I did do the save option as I am very familiar with that, turns out I am just impatient. I had to go to work so I didn't see. I also miss clicked and instead of doing reach, I instead did range. However that did not show up either despite me waiting hours. All in all, appreciate the help for my impatience immensely. Reach did show up though :D.

Range doesn’t work, reach does.
Happy to help.
