You learn how to use your artificer infusions to specially modify your Arcane Armor. That armor now counts as separate items for the purposes of your Infuse Items feature: armor (the chest piece), boots, helmet, and the armor’s special weapon. Each of those items can bear one of your infusions, and the infusions transfer over if you change your armor’s model with the Armor Model feature. In addition, the maximum number of items you can infuse at once increases by 2, but those extra items must be part of your Arcane Armor.
When trying to select Enhance Defense and Resistant Armor as I should be able to use both now I am not given the option to infuse my plate with 2 infusions.
Am I missing something?

ARTIFICER INFUSIONS - this sourcebook introduces a number of changes to Artificer infusions, from the infusions that were presented in the Eberron sourcebook.
ARTIFICER "SETTING" - with the Artificer class being published in Tasha's, it is now considered a core class for the D&D game, rather than belonging exclusively to the Eberron setting. This means that the Artificer class & subclasses are no longer behind the Eberron toggle in the character builder.
ARMORER - both Thunder Gauntlets and Lightning Launcher grant attacks that allow you to use INT instead of STR or DEX for the attack. We've therefore added both to the character sheet. If you wish to hide one of them, as it's not relevant to your character, click on the attack, then in the sidebar choose Customize and uncheck "Display as Attack"
ARMORER - Armor Modifications. We don't yet have a system to allow the separate infusion of individual armor pieces.

Just reached Level 9 today...how do I get around this issue? Do I just create custom armor pieces with the infusions on them, i.e., the +2 to armor or the extra movement speed?
Why hasn't this been fixed? Seems an odd thing to leave it broken for so long.

Nearly two years later and it's still broken.

The issue is over 2 years old. It's predates this post. It is aggravating paying for a product that doesn't work as it should for multiple years.
