Are there any plans to implement tooltip commands to link approved and published homebrew content to each other? Would be an awesome and very helpful feature to add. Everything else I have encountered so far with the homebrew creation tools have been pretty great, so thank you.
Also, if you could share, how long would it take to implement something like this?
It’s not really likely to ever happen. For official stuff it’s relatively simple, because there’s only one thing with each name. As soon as the republished some stuff in MotM it became a problem that persists today. and that’s only two versions of things with the same names. Now take a look at the published homebrews. How many things have the same names? And how many things of different sorts (monsters, spells, magic items) have the same names? In order to tooltip them it couldn’t go by simple names (or name & source) like it does with official content. It would require the individual numeric code for each homebrew, and most people don’t even realize homebrews have those, let alone what those codes are. Please see the General Homebrew FAQ #9 for more information: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).
Theoretically, but most people don’t know those numbers. As opposed to just typing in the name which is much, much simpler, and what everyone is used to from the regular tooltips.

Would the fix not to be to tie the stuff together with the monster/spell/items #ID's instead of the names?
