Is there a way to make magic weapons that take the character's level into consideration? Kind of an If/then statement that allows an object to progress as the character progresses.
Example: Characters find a sword at 3rd level, so it is a +1. At 6th level, I want it to automatically become a +2, so on and so forth. I can be ok just making the levels stack on top of each other.
I want to make artifacts the party collects, but obviously don't want them OP from the get go. I have been thinking of it like an extended attunement.

Short answer, no. Magic items have been designed not to do that this edition, so the system is not set up to program them to do that. Groovy. Thought so, but love that it is clearly that way.
Thanks for the quick response.
