ive been trying for 2 hours and ive searched threads and double cheeked the post on helping with home brew but i cant figure out what im doing wrong. i have class featers at 3, 7, 10, 15, 18 and is said im missing featers at levels. dose it require multipul features at some levels or can you have to many at a level?
You need a feature (even a dummy feature) at level 5. It shouldn’t be that way, but it is. One note, though, please wait to publish your subclass until you have thoroughly tested and proof-read it. It is incredibly difficult to edit published homebrew. One should really only publish a final product. You don’t need to publish it to be able to share it with people in your campaigns.
thanks for the tip and explaining the weird level 5 thing. ill be running a test tonight so after that ill edit and post it. thanks agein
Proper playtesting and editing takes at least a few months. Don’t rush to publish. Take ArwensDaughter’s advice and playtest and edit thoroughly before publishing. It will lead to you having a better subclass. Not “stronger,” but better in the ways that really matter (game balance and playability) as well as working out the little language and programming kinks that only come up after many hours of playtesting. The better the balance, playability, writing, and programming, the more likely it is for others to actually find it useful as opposed to the thousands that get ignored because they are unbalanced, play poorly, are poorly written, or poorly programmed.
