Bug in the title. They count as simple weapons and thus should be valid targets for the Enhanced Weapon and Radiant Weapon infusions. Am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing the fact that they already answered your question in the very first post in the thread specifically for bugs related to Tasha’s Cauldron:

Yes, you are missing the fact that they already answered your question in the very first post in the thread specifically for bugs related to Tasha’s Cauldron:
No, they didn't directly address my question, and you come across as both dismissive and hostile.
The post mentions Thunder Gauntlets and the Lightning Launcher being available in the Attacks section of the character sheet. It also mentions being unable to infuse parts of armor as in the Armor Modifications feature. My question is specifically about infusing the gauntlets as weapons, since they show up as weapons on the sheet but can't be infused.
Even if they did answer my question, which they didn't, you can see this is my first post ever. I'd think someone who's been around as long as you would try to be a little more accommodating to newbies. Maybe that's not how you meant it and I'm reading too much into your word choice. If so I apologize.
Edit: I do appreciate you linking me to that post though. Thank you for taking the time to do that.
My apologies, I did not notice this was your first ever post, That information is not readily displayed on a mobile device and I never even bothered to look. I was just being snarky. (I usually am.)
The Thunder Gauntlets are considered part of the armor:
Armor Model
3rd-level Armorer feature
You can customize your Arcane Armor. When you do so, choose one of the following armor models: Guardian or Infiltrator. The model you choose gives you special benefits while you wear it.
Each model includes a special weapon. When you attack with that weapon, you can add your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, to the attack and damage rolls.
You can change the armor’s model whenever you finish a short or long rest, provided you have smith’s tools in hand.
As such fall under:
ARTIFICER
ARTIFICER INFUSIONS - this sourcebook introduces a number of changes to Artificer infusions, from the infusions that were presented in the Eberron sourcebook.
ARTIFICER "SETTING" - with the Artificer class being published in Tasha's, it is now considered a core class for the D&D game, rather than belonging exclusively to the Eberron setting. This means that the Artificer class & subclasses are no longer behind the Eberron toggle in the character builder.
ARMORER - both Thunder Gauntlets and Lightning Launcher grant attacks that allow you to use INT instead of STR or DEX for the attack. We've therefore added both to the character sheet. If you wish to hide one of them, as it's not relevant to your character, click on the attack, then in the sidebar choose Customize and uncheck "Display as Attack"
ARMORER - Armor Modifications. We don't yet have a system to allow the separate infusion of individual armor pieces.
Interesting. I would have thought that since they're able to be shown under attacks that they would exist somewhere as an item that could be infused. Thanks for taking the time to clarify.
They are encoded as an “action” attached directly to the subclass feature, and not as actual equipment: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/equipment) The system is only capable of applying an infusion to approved items found on that specific list.
They need to make a common weapon gauntlets so we can make custom item to infuse. People have made magic items but they are magic and cannot be infused.
