I've just got to level 6 on my half orc champion fighter and am wondering what to do the ASI. Should I take GWM or, should I take a +1 increase to my Dex and Wis saving throw score? Strength is at 20 now, Constitution is 16 and I thought the +1 on 2 saving throws would be potentially more advantageous.
The increases on the saving throws will always come in handy and, for some reason, I always seem to be unlucky with my dice - 1 maybe 2 crits in all the time I have been playing this char!
Any views or alternative suggestions as to what I should do? I am not too experienced with all this and have been playing for a short amount of time barring some stuff when I was a kid.
Edit - Just to add, I already have GWF and play using a great sword or Maul for bashing skellies.
Being a great weapon user, it sounds like you're leaning toward high damage output. Great Weapon Master would certainly accomplish that. Though, if you want to be more well-rounded, then boosting your defenses would be a good decision.

What are your DEX and wisdom scores now? The save help will be good, and don’t forget a boost to a lot of skills, and your initiative come with those ASI. I’m guessing you wear heavy armor, though, so no help for AC.
Great weapon master is good, but if you’re already going with a two-handed weapon, picking up a glance or halberd and the polearm master feat is another great choice.
Don't discount Resilient(Wis) as an option. Boosting Dex saves isn't a bad thing by any stretch, but most of the time failing a Dex save just means taking more damage. Failing a Wisdom save might mean being taken out of the fight completely, or worse yet turned against your party by a Dominate spell. Having played heavy striker character before, I can say from experience that your party will thank you for being less susceptible to such things :)
This is sounding like excellent advice, I had not thought about resilient and yes, losing control of my char would probably be quite bad for my party. I have until Tuesday to decide but this is looking like a good call, no point in being more hitty if I am hitting the wrong thing!
lucky is another generic lifesaver, but with uneven wis I think I would go resilient first. Lucky is versatile though, bolstering wis, dex or even initiative when needed
Well it was all for nought in the end! I chose to increase both Dex and Wis but got rather well and truly annihilated after encountering pair of much higher level characters that we tried to kill.
If the party makes it out then I think I am going to be rolling an archer fighter, they seem like fun :)
Thanks for the help all.

My scores are 13 Dex and 11 Wis at the moment.
Pole arm master could be an interesting way to go which I did not consider, cheers.
Pole arm master plus sentinel is a pretty nasty combo for battlefield control to consider.
and the ASIs are not bad for you, either. Pretty much always a good choice to get rid of odd numbers.

I second resilient wis
