what are you asking for? Archtype? Feat suggestions? Spell selection? Racial Choices? and do you have any people you might be able to expect to consistently play with and what are they playing if so?
My table consists of the obvious warlock at least one Paladin , 1fighter and 2 clerics generally or any 2 healing capable classes. ddb.ac/characters/16402055/hGNSkW
In order to factor in feats can you say what race and backgrounds you've taken?
Aside from that as 5th level tank type you might want to look at Hexblade patron in Xanathar's guide to everything, take Pact of Blade and take the Invocations Devils Sight (gives you 120ft darkvision and lets you see in magical darkness), Thirsting blade (lets you make 2 attacks with your pact weapon) and maybe Agonizing Blast (adds you cha mod to Eldritch Blast Damage).
Spells:
cantrips: take Chill Touch, Create Bonfire, Eldritch Blast,
(chill touch deals necrotic damage but has the nifty side effect that anyone hit by it cannot regain hit points till the start of your next turn so handy for dealing with regenerating monsters, Create Bonfire because its always nice to have a utility spell and something to create a hazard and eldritch blast because with the agonizing blast invocation it deal a good deal of force damage)
Level 1: Armour of Agathys, Hellish rebuke, Hex
Level 2: Darkness, Hold Person
level 3: Summon lesser Demons
Remember though you only have 2 spell slots to use and you need to take into account spells that require concentration, so you won't be able to cast darkness and hex it'll be either/or.
Hex is good for adding extra damage on each hit, Armor of Agathys will give you some extra HP as well as deal damage to anyone that hits you, Hellish Rebuke is good for a reaction spell but could be switched out for shield if you did take the Hexblade as a patron. Hold Person is always useful and Summon lesser Demons....who doesn't want a small army of demons on command? With Summon lesser Demons you can summon 8 Manes or 8 Abyssal Wretches or 4 Nupperibo or 2 Maw Demons or 2 Quasits, it requires your concentration but if you need a good distraction a bunch of little demons suddenly "poofing" into existence is hard to miss. Darkness is only worth taking if you take the devil sight invocation but if you do take it you'll likely mess up party tactics so if you want to be a bit more party friendly it may be worrth switching to Blur or Mirror Image.
Feat wise: You've a few choices, Warcaster will let you cast spells without having to put your shield and weapon away and mean you can shoot people with a chill touch if they try to escape melee with you), other wise you have Magic Initiate, I favour Druid for this as you can take Primal Savagery for another cantrip which gives your a melee spell that deals acid damage, Druidcraft or thorn whip are also good and for a level one spell don't overlook the trusty Goodberry, you'll never have to worry about rations again. Shield Master is surprisingly good as long as you remember you have it when dex saves are needed. Alert is also useful for the +5 initiative bonus and not being surprised.
Equipment wise: Hexblades also get proficiency with medium armour and shields (and can also use their Cha modifier for calculating to hit and damage bonuses instead of Str or Dex) so see if you can start off with Half Plate Armour and a Shield that'll give you AC 19 but you will have disadvantage on stealth checks, weapons are a free choice of all of them but it'll have to be single handed if you want the shield bonus to AC, Long Sword, Warhammer or Battle Axe are good and they have the bonus of being able to be used two handed in the event your shield isn't handy.
Hope that helps.....there are other options depending on how tank like you wanted to go, taking Pact of Tome can make make you deal a lot of damage if you don't mind being a cantrip heavy caster, pact of tome will give you three cantrips of your choice, switch Thirsting Blade invocation for Book of Shadows will give you access to two rituals straight away and potentially allow you to learn them all and also switch out Agonizing Blast for Aspect of the Moon and never have to worry about needing to sleep again.
Is this a fresh character, aka can you swap around archtype etc.? What book are you taking as your +1?
As far as spell selection goes, if your going to be actually trying to use your pact weapon and being meleeish, armor of agathys is a good choice for the thorns effect and extra health that scales. of course, you could also just realize that pact weapon is nearly always terrible compared to eldritch blast and just stack invocations to make that good, the knockback one ends up being a bit silly since you can get it each time you hit which also synergizes with area control from your fellow players.
Point buy. Get 15 in str, go fighter for 1st level and then switch to warlock in heavy armor (with heavy armor you do not aply your negative dex modifier to AC). Either use shield and no weapon for eldritch blast spam or drop the shild and go hexblade warlock using a polearm, with the polearm mastery and great weapon master feats.
I would suggest human variant for hexblade to get an extra feat at level one.

This is what I’ve thought up of so far

Are those rolled? You'll have to change to standard array or point buy for AL games.
