Hey, as it is now, I love how the Artificer infusions were implemented--scroll down enough in the Equipment section, and you'll see a list of all of your Infusions and an easy setup to add them into your inventory with the proper tags and everything.
However, I noticed that when I tried to use the 'Enhanced Arcane Focus' option, the only options given are Rods, Wands, and Staves, but this didn't make much sense to me, considering one of the core flavors of the class are how they use their Artisan tools to cast spells--and indeed, there is even an option to mark items that already exist in your inventory for said infusion, but only if it were one of those three things.
I feel like this is an oversight, although if I'm mistaken, my bad!
The artificer using tools is considered a spellcasting focus, not an arcane focus, just like a bard can use a musical instrument as their spellcasting focus, but that doesn't make them either an arcane focus, or a druidic focus. For this infusion, since it enhances an arcane focus, only things that are arcane focuses are able to be effected, hence the tools exclusion from the options

So far this session I have hit my teammates twice, flat-out missed 3 times, and only hit the enemy twice. Trust me, you don't want to borrow my dice.
If that is the case, Why can't it work on a crystal or orb?
Who knows? Probably because nobody takes them for the most part and they probably got forgotten about. I’d allow it as a DM, and just tell you to use the wand or whatever and rename it a Crystal or Orb of you wanted to.
Some of the infusions are meant for the Artificer to use, some are useable by anyone, and others are meant to be handed out to party manners. Take the Repeating Shot for example, from the Artificer’s perspective the +2 Longbow is statistically better in every way but damage, and the difference there is negligible. The only reason my Artificer uses a +1 Repeater instead of a +2 Longbow is because of RP. (It’s got short arms like a Roman ballista that work off of rope tension instead of arm spring, and it pumps like a shotgun.) But for a higher level Fighter, that Repeating Shot starts to add up for them after a while because of the sheer weight of fire. That’s the beauty of the Artificer, whatever the party needs, they got an app for that.

The Enhanced Arcane Focus is written to just work with "Item: A rod, staff, or wand (requires attunement)."

Thats kind of lame, but alright, good to know!
