They may possibly do it the same way they did it in unearthed arcana where each fighting style gets a sub feat like others (magic initiate, element adept, resilient, etc.)
You know... they wouldnt need to make so many sub feats if they just fixed the Options attribute of feats to include spells and modifiers, instead of just actions....
Just saying. Fix the homebrew tools pls, DDB. for all our sakes
Tasha brings a whole slew of new feats to customize your characters!
Eldritch Adept and Fighting Initiate - The systems to support these feats are currently in development, we have provided placeholder feats so they can be selected for now.
Is there an option I have to click for the options for fighter initiatie feats because all I see is the single option without any other variations that add the features.

Wow...I did, and I do not see Said placeholder Feats, which is why I asked the question in the fist place.
Ah, but you did see the said placeholder feat: the existing feat, which you found and which has no variations or options, is the placeholder feat. That it, it is a blank feat with the right name but no mechanics: you choose the feat so the name shows up, and then you have to enter a note on your character sheet with the info.
Or, the other option is to make a feat using that feat as the template, and then or the name put “Fighting Initiate ([Fighting Style])” and then attach whichever particular Fighting Style you want to that feat. You can make a Fighter Subclass using the Champion as a template to see how each of the original fighting styles was programmed, and then use that information to figure out how the new ones must have been programmed and make the one specific version of the feat you need.

Thanks, Sposta. I almost suggested that, and then realized I don't do enough homebrew to know if it was actually possible.
Glad I could chip in. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve gone to answer only to find you did it first. You help a lot of people with a lot of things, I can help you at least by picking up the homebrew tab.

I thought they had made feats like Spell snipe (wizard)/(druid) etc etc and I was missing something. glad to know I'm not missing anything. Also did try homebrewing I but that is different from simply making items.
If somebody has done it before (creating the homebrew feat that can be selected and gives the benefits of the fighting style) can you please explain how it is done here? Maybe provide the code/text needed to make it work?

It all depends which fighting style you want: each fighting style would require a different feat, and how to code it would vary.

I already gave you all you need to do it for yourself in one of my earlier posts.

The Feature is appearing in the list but when selecting it does not prompt to pick a fighting style of your choice
Noticed the same.

It's a known issue and they're working on it. It's in the errata.
Is this still being worked on? I have the same issue too so I assume its not fixed rather than a bug my end.
plz fix DDB!

Please read the post that is right above yours.
