Some simple DM tools would be Nice, the DM are likely the ones buying the books and paying for subscriptions. But most the site is player tools. These tools don’t need to be crazy most just text fields and organization.
NPC maker: this could just be a place to upload a pic and 2 text boxes one for players to see and one for DM only. Maybe a link to a stat block. It would be cool if player could add notes to the npc as well. Being able to pull up all the NPC’s in one place would be nice.
Location maker: pretty much the same tool with a location tap
Maps: not a battle map (im sure other would love that me) like a region map with markers
Session / game: simple text tool so DMs can import or wright games and have them all in one place. Maybe players could also keep notes
better homebrew tools that don’t make me wanna give up and just use a sheet of paper.
Idk im not a programmer so maybe it harder then i think but i really feel like this would add some value as DM. I am pumped about the encounters really hope its the beginning of more Dm tools
NPCs can already be made by homebrewing a monster as they are effectively the same thing. If you're either new to the homebrew tools or struggling with them I recommend using an existing monster/NPC as a template. From there you can see how things are broken down and done in the backend and add/subtract whatever you want.
Location maker and maps are going to be contingent on if D&DB do wind up making their own VTT.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
I use the campaign page for tracking NPCs in a campaign, there are both publicly and private sections for a SM to load pics and blurbs and link to a statblock. Most NPCs use either the Commoner or a similar statblock like Noble, Guard, Bandit, Thug, Cultist, etc. Then I add a Race and a Background and away I go.
