I've recently put in a homebrew race, and a few of its subraces on accident, and didn't know that you couldn't edit your race after its been submitted. This wouldn't be a problem, but i found out I've forgotten the core race ability score increase. Is there anyway i can take my race back so i may edit it?
you cannot remove published homebrew. That's why you get a big 'are you sure' box first when you go to publish.
You can create a new version, however which will replace the original in the homebrew listings. You will need to create a new version of the base race, recreate all the subraces, publish those recreated subraces and then publish the base race again.

This is all correct.
That is just one of the many, many excellent reasons to never publish anything before it has been thoroughly playtested and edited.
Sometimes, if the published homebrew doesn't do what it says it should, or does things that aren't in the published description, you can report your own homebrew and then a mod can remove it, but I don't think 'it's supposed to do X and I didn't set it up correctly so it doesn't work' counts for that, more like 'it says it gives you +2 AC but it actually gives you +4 DEX.'
actually its false in some degrees... the new version doesn't replace the old one. as people who have added the old ones in their content still have th eold one and never receive the new one. though it is true that it replaces the old one in the browsing experience. each version is still kept on the server and one can just download and play earlier versions by choosing that version below the actual page of the item.
keeping all items that were published is madness. i understand why they do it, but it only adds more and more cumbersome space hogging on their end that is not necessary. one thing they could simply do is...
allow us to unlist the item, not remove it, not delete it, but unlist it from any browsing system. unlisting is easy and is only a mere option to add to an existing place. aka public/private/deleted that is already in place.
also, i want to delete things i do not use anymore, but since i created them... even if i remove them from collection, they are still there in my creation collection. so i am to forever look at old content that i shared entousiastically that are bullshit to begin with. now i take time to publish stuff... but before i did that... how many bullshit stuff appears published ? and now i am stuck looking at weird bullshit stuff for no reason.
my solution that encompasses their logic and that would solve a few of those... is to simply do like youtube and add an "Unlisted" filter.

Instead of a big "are you sure" it would be better to include the phrase "YOU CANNOT EDIT A POST ONCE PUBLISHED" That would both reduce the number of erroneous and duplicate posts on the site, and reduce the number of times this same question is asked. Just a thought I had after using many other services prior which were clear and transparent.

I suggested that about a year ago and one of the staff even recognized it as a good idea. You can see how quickly they implemented it. 🙄

Or better yet, let us control our own content and unpublish/edit whenever we want.
No I don't care if other people are using it, it's my creation
