This is my very first time writing something here and I am very exited about it. The last time I played DnD with my party an idea came to my mind. We had a scenario in which we had to hand over items to one another. It was pretty finicky since one had to explain what item they would hand over and delete it and the other player had to search for the item or in case of an custom item create it. I think it would be a very good and to my understanding not to hard to implement feature to give players the option in the equipment menue to hand item over to other players of their campangne. So the item then will be deleted and appears in the choosen players equipmentlist.
It is absolutely a hood idea, and is already planned. It isn't exactly easy though. Character sheets don't currently have any infrastructure to send information between each other. They would also need to test it to make sure they don't crash or break any characters when using it.
Other similar planned features is for DM to be able to make a item collection (for loot or store inventory) and send it to PCs, for there to be separate and shared inventories like wagons, mounts, and chests, for items to be able to be assigned to containers (bags, pouches and such), and for bag of holding and similar to reduce the weight of items in it.
This "inventory update" will probably all be worked on at the same time as a major update.
Bumping dead thread because I would love this feature. I have so many random custom items (like particular clothing sets) that would need to be totally recreated if I wanted to lend them to another player.

It might have been moved to a more front dwelling burner since people want to be able to have their Artificers hand out infusion should the need arise.

This would be really useful -- to be able to infuse my barbarian friend's warhammer with Radiant Weapon, and have it remember what my infusion was used for. Currently, he just has to create a customization on a Warhammer.
Hello everyone!

What do you think?

I was wondering if there are any limits to how many items I can have in my inventory? I am a new player, and I am trying to figure all this stuff out.
There is not technically a limit. Most DMs won't even check, others might, might want it to be reasonable based on size of the items and your packs.

Has there still been no word on this type of feature
There’s been no word of any features since WotC took over and fired everyone.
