Choosing which abilities to enhance when choosing a background (step 2) is extremely difficult, when you haven't decided on how to distribute your abilities (step 4).
I noticed it already when doing characters with the book but on the editor it is even more confusing.
The same with choosing physical characteristics (also step 2) before choosing a species (step 3).
Also, having to choose spells in step 2 without any description what these do is total madness.
Did nobody playtest this with people who haven't played before and already know what to do and what it does?
Choosing class, Background, Species, and THEN stats, and then going BACK to class to get the full amount of spells dependent on your stat is irritating.
Nice thing is you don't have to do it in any order. Just slide over to abilities and do them first then go back and do the others in whatever order you want to.
Honestly I don't think their is any order of character creation where I wouldn't go backwards and forwards filling things in in stages. Only way that doesn't happen is if you have it all on one page and then I would be scrolling up and down on that page to do the same thing.
I've created a bunch of new test characters on the new system and so far i don't think i'm bouncing backwards and forwards any more than I did on the old one.

You have spell description when you click on the 'Spell Detailed' right under the spell selected.

Ah, I guess that is a feature that is only available on desktop then.
Thanks for your reply.

I'm not sure there's a way to win on this one.
One of the issues I'm seeing is you can't pick ASI multiple times which is concerning as it only shows up at 4th Level
