Wouldn't it be cool if D&D Beyond had a tab for making your own adventures? I mean like the one to six page kinds that we use to plan for 1-2 sessions. I think D&D beyond is one of the most helpful resources for planning games because it has everything I need and has made combats run so much smoother for me and is only more and more accessible as the devs work. I recently was planning a session around the Oblex and the ruins of a duergar city and found myself having to flip back and forth between D&D beyond tabs and my own Word document when I thought of this. I think it would be so awesome to be able to have a place where we could make and share with the community our own adventures on D&D Beyond. It could be a sub-tab of campaigns even but I think it would just be a really cool way to see what other DM's are creating and for us to share our adventure ideas for feedback. I know other websites do this but D&D Beyond has such a great community and I think this would be a great way to add another creative community aspect to it.
Just and idea to throw out to the D&D Beyond Community and maybe the Devs if they see it.
If you are just wanting to consult text, you could just dump it all into the DM notes section of a campaign here and then tool-tip the heck out of it. I do my prep for a published adventure that way. Spoiler blocks can be used to separate stuff out into sections. It's a bit of a cludge, especially as the notes get longer, but it might get you by while we wait for them to develop something like this.
I use the Campaign tab to have a summary of each adventure for my players and to take little notes during the game of things I need to remember for future games or ideas the players give me. I don't really find it suitable for planning an adventure though because like you pointed out it's really cluttered and I think more suitable for little notes that way. Also the bigger idea I like is having a way to share adventures more locally in the community here, a better way to format them would just help I think.

Yeah, homebrew adventures, with full tooltips would be pretty awesome - it's been one of the things that I've wanted since beta. :)
