Hello, So my group has played two games (Three this coming Sunday) And it seemed like according to my DM and another player who is not using DND beyond that it wasn’t either showing everything and it also wasn’t calculating everything correctly like our barbarian their armor class was not where it should’ve been when it was should’ve been a 15 is there anything that we as the players can do to fix that? Any help would be nice (I will post the link of when we seem to be having the issues)
Please can you provide a link to the character sheet and also let us know what you feel was calculated incorrectly and what you think the value should be?
Yes I did, I want to prove just in case people didn’t believe me that we were having some issues since in that video one of the players mention it like I said in the post
now these are not my characters I will let you know these are two characters from different players but these were the ones that were I think affected more because their AC was different than what it should’ve been
If you click on the AC number, both characters show a "misc bonus" of +2; both players should click on the AC #, click on the little arrow next to "customize" and remove any entries in the "Additional Misc bonus" section.
I am not a mod, but it looks like both should have AC 13 - the bard has leather armor (AC 11 +2 Dex = 13), and the other has barbarian unarmored defense (AC 10 + 2 Dex +1 Con = 13). Why should they have had AC 15?
Was the bonus +2 to AC granted by a spell, maybe? Like the wedding from Ceremony? Shield of Faith also grants a +2 bonus to AC, but only for 10 minutes, whereas wedding is a week (and it's 2 characters, so it's more likely). If so, then the reason it's lower than it ought to be is because temporary effects like from spells don't get pushed to the character sheet. The manual 'misc' bonus would have been the only way to add that (but if that's what it's from, whoever added it should have also added a note to say what it was from and how long it would last).
See that is what I thought since she does not have any amor and the one player said that there AC should be 15
Mistral should have AC 13; they're wearing Leather armor which gives an AC of 11 (the armor) + Dex (2) [Tooltip Not Found]
Davina should have AC 13 also; barbarians have unarmored defence which gives them an AC of 10 (base) + Dex (2) + Con (1)
Both of them have a misc bonus of +2 which, unless you've had some temporary effect applies, shouldn't be there for their base calculations. The sheets appear to be doing everything correctly, including applying the manually added bonus.
I did they said they were looking at her saving throws and adding therm together. Both me and that player had played more pathfinder then D&D so I don’t think either of us were use to the AC. But thank you so much for the help

Can you post a link to the affected characters as that will help the moderators discern what the issue might be.
As for fixing it yourself, you can apply overrides to things like AC by clicking your armor class and entering values in the customise field.
Also, did you mean to link a youtube video?

I'm pretty sure that the player who said the AC should be 15 is wrong: I would suggest asking them to spell out how they calculated that.

Yeah, in 5e saving throws have nothing to do with AC.
