I'd seriously like this possibility as well. I archive characters from all players in all my games and it would be nice if there was a method to compile them into a single account through API and/or store them offline for later so backups were available should the worst happen.
Yes please! This would make things like bots for Discord or integration in another VTT scenario so much easier. The Twitch API is already going to require something like this, so hopefully it's made public.

Hopefully this integration can go both ways. Out to external Json and in to character/campaign manager.
