Hopefully a quick fix, in a campaign I'm playing with my friends we got Curse of Strahd with the belief the magical item "The Lost Sword" a sentient magical item, would be in it, turns out its not, no big. But then we learned it doesn't exist period. But tis a big item, is this a bug? or intentionally not in DnD Beyond archives? Our understanding is that the CoS Sourcebook contained that weapon. But on DnD beyond we are unable to find this item that should be inside of the book that was bought.
That sword (and the Shield of the Silver Dragon) have stats etc, but we’re not officially listed as Magic Items by WotC. (It was either an oversight or those items were specifically omitted from the official list. Since WotC has put out a few errata since CoS was published and they have not been added in any of them, that indicates it was possibly intentional for some reason or other. 🤷♂️ (If I recall, the issue has something to do with those items not having official “rarities” listed in their entries.)
DDB is under contract with WotC to represent all official content exactly as is in the official publications. So DDB can’t add those items (or fix typos) until WotC implements those changes.
Luckily those items are both easy to Homebrew, but against site policy to publish as they are clearly not items that any of us “created,” and we’re not allowed to publish work nor our own. Simply select a ”Shortsword, +1” as the template, add the spell to the item, copy/paste the description from the CoS compendium, and add 1 charge with a refresh at dawn. For the rarity (a required field), I suggest Legendary due to the Sentience alone as that’s how WotC likes their sentient items. Based purely on actual power level it should realistically only be Rare at most, two whole categories below Legendary.
That sword really isn’t that powerful, it’s just a Weapon, +1 smooshed with a Moon-Touched Sword, and it can cast a 3rd-level spell 1ce/day. Two Uncommon magic items and a Common magic item all rolled into one do not actually add up to a Legendary sword, even if it is Sentient and sports an alignment based attunement prerequisite That’s likely why WotC didn’t give it an official rarity, and why it was omitted from the official registry. (CoS is just a 5e update of a much older adventure, which is likely why those items don’t quite fit the 5e system. But those items are not intended for a 17th-level party they cannot just add more stuff to make them actually Legendary. And since WotC doesn’t want to upset the “traditionalists,” they also cannot drop sentence from the sword. (I’m not really sure about the shield, it is probably also “supposed to” be Legendary or something, but in actual power level it’s only around Very Rare at the huge heat in this edition.

I hope that helps.

Yes, all three of the items from CoS have been added since this post was last used in March of ‘21.
