I've made a race with four variant races, and the base race is all that will appear in the builder. I've enabled homebrews and all other options. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
As Arlenor suggested, whenever you add to, remove from, or alter something on any homebre you MUST re-save the entire homebrew using the topmost main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick up your changes. In this case, the topmost save is the one for the entire base race to which the variants are attached.
Hmm, I've tried this too, but nothing changes. The variant races are shown under the base race in the homebrew builder's "Variants" section, but still nothing on the character builder.
Did you actually designate them as Variants? Please post links to the race and the variants so a Mod or Staffer can look into it for you. (They can even view unpublished homebrews.)
Okay, found the issue. I was making a dwarf-like race and had them grouped under the dwarf race under the "Race Group" menu, which hid them. I removed that and the variants appear in the builder. The only issue remaining is that they appear as stand-alone races rather than being nested under the parent race. Not sure if that counts as a bug.

Dwarves have sub-races, not variants. I can't think of any race that has both sub-races and variants; it is always one or the other, never both. That may be why they didn't show up in the builder when you assigned them to the Dwarf race group: DDB is probably not set up to allow both subraces and variants in the same race group.

Homebrew sub/variant races do not nest under the parent like the official ones do. The current workaround is to name them by the following convention so they at least group alphabetically: “Race Name, Sub/Variant Name.”
Aasimar have both subraces and variants, and I've managed to homebrew both and have them all show up in the character builder.
Interesting. I guess I missed that.
Yeah, I made the 5 Draconian Races as the Draconian Race with 5 subraces and designated them as part of the Dragonborn race and the nest and work just fine.

Can you try saving on the main page of the base race?
