The living lightning bolt and living cloudkill have their Melee Spell Attack part of the description bolded, unlike every other official stat block I could find, including the living burning hands. I only have access to the creatures through content sharing, so I can’t compare with the physical book, but a PDF by Wizards about creating your own living spells doesn’t have this inconsistency (though some of the stats are different between the two, so it might be a change from an older version).

Could someone verify that these statblocks are as they should be?

Yeah, looks like they forgot to put the phrase “Melee Spell Attack”  between the </strong> and the </em> (with the </strong> right after the period at the end of “Magical Strike.”
