You can use a tiresome Homebrew method: make a copy of the subclass. Add a class feature in which you can select an infinite number of spells from the class spell list.
It would probably be easier to do with feats, one for each caster type. Then, no matter the subclass you could just add that on and add the spells as they level up.
Spells added through feats cannot be cast through spell slots (unless they've changed that recently), and cannot be prepared for clerics/druids/wizards.

Would really love if extra prepared spells was an option but it's looking bleak.
if WotC doesn’t make anything official that provides additional prepared spells, then DDB will not likely make it possible.
Being able to do anything with DDB that you could on paper is a (very) long term goal of theirs. This might get some attention if they every get around to a homebrew and customization update.
That is from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, which is a Critical Role book, and therefore not Official WotC content.
Explorer's Guide to Wildemount is still official content.
However, the issue with the Grimoire Infinitus is a known one from the EGtW support thread. It's the kind of issue that should hopefully be able to be fixed once the universal features system has been implemented!
found a workaround. Go to the character builder and put in a +6 modifier to your INT score. Then add the spells to your prepared spells and delete that modifier. You will now have more spells prepared than you technically should according strictly to your INT score.
As far as I can tell reading this whole thread, the best way to do this is, while in view character sheet mode:
1: Determine how much your prepared spell amount must increase to fit the item or benefit
2: determine what intelligence modifier would increase the preparation ability to that number
3: temporarily, click your intelligence score block and manually customize, adjust your character’s intelligence score to hit that modifier
4: prepare the extra spell in the spell tab as you normally would
5: now reduce the intelligence score back by removing your customization of the score
6: the spell preparation side menu in the spells tab will still display the extra prepared spell, but will feature a red (!) next to the amount of prepared spells [i.e. 13/12 (!)]
the unfortunate part is you have to repeat this process every time you change prepared spells each long rest, but it’s relatively easy once you get practiced at how much to increase that score each time

This does not work. Is there really no way whatsoever to ad extra spells to ones prepared spells? Even in official content there are events which can grant a player the ability to cast a spell, is there really no way to actually add these actions to the action list? This is literally the only reason to use DND beyond, it has a very clear character sheet - I see no reason there shouldn't be some simple modifier to allow more prepared spells. this would be massively helpful for.. really most campaigns. and is the reason people use other character builder platforms (including me at this point).

The proposed workarounds work.
There are lots of other reasons to use DDB than the less than half dozen things that let you prepare additional spells...
There should be a modifier. You are right about that.
While the number of campaigns where a spellcaster is granted additional prepared spells is a tiny minority, it is not negligible. Since the problem is uncommon and the work arounds work, this is hardly a reason to use a different platform, but to each there own.

There are various ways to add spells, including additional “always prepared” spells to a character sheet. One can even trick the system into allowing a PC to prepare additional spells. There is, however, no way to create anything that simply allows additional spells to be prepared because there is nothing official that works like that. If WotC doesn’t write it, DDB doesn’t implement it.

Just boosting this again because it's been over two years since EGtW came out and it seems there's still no actual support for the Grimoire Infinitus unfortunately. It's an official item. It's even being adapted for AL play now that Call of the Netherdeep is out.

Another year has gone, anyone know if this has been implemented in any way yet? Been trying to work it out for an hour here.
So it's been four years since this issue was flagged. Is this something we can do at all?
As somebody who plays a wizard weekly, the former workaround was "Fixed" as it was a bug, and there is no current way around it.

They really need a feature for this.
Please, please, please implement this feature
