Hello, I'm having some issues with managing XP. I'm fully blind, so I'm using the character builder with a screen reader. I can get to manage XP, but when I'm there, this is where my trouble begins. I was told, by a sighted friend, that the first edit box, right after the level listbox, is for typing your raw XP value. So I typed in 2700 to test things out. And for some reason, that put me up to level 13. Am I doing something wrong here? I tested both boxes and no matter where I type 2700 it bumps me up to 13. I'm very confused. Thanks in advance!
I tried to replicate your issue using a character with XP leveling, in the Class section of the Character Builder, the Manage XP box. I type 2700 into the first edit box (set XP) and it ends up at level 4, not level 13.
Is your screen reader a browser extension? Are you using any other browser extensions besides your screen reader?
Are you able to post the url to your character so someone can examine it? It could be that the XP ends up as some other value than 2700.

So, it appears that the thing is just glitched. I have to change my fighter level manually, I can only add XP and then change my class level when appropriate. (Sorry for any spelling mistakes. The forum is wildly inaccessible on PC so tying in braille on my phone.)
I'm sorry it's being such a problem, websites and forums should be better at accessibility. It's good that you posted, the staff needs to know there's a need for it.

Class level does not automatically match Character level since the character builder doesn’t know if you intend to multiclass.
Is it possible that, due to some interaction with your screen reader, that you are interacting with the field to add/subtract XP instead of the field to set XP? Your DM has admin access to all character sheets in their campaign, perhaps they can subtract the superfluous XP.

They created a new subforum recently for accessibility feedback, if you haven't posted feedback there, that would be a great place to post as well.
