I'm seeing the same thing, too, both with homebrew monsters and with published/official ones. My guess is that a change they made to encounters as they gear up to release it as beta broke something. Hoping for all your sakes they get it fixed quickly!
Had to fumble through my games this evening. With DDB always, always, have good old pen, paper, and real dice at hand. DDB still can't be trusted. I truly sympathize for those in lockdown who are only able to play online using only DDB (I hope you have a backup dice rolling server, there are many out there). For a paid service, still feels lacking although the dice are pretty so I guess that makes up for the more serious aspects lacking from their service.
I'm running the Candlekeep Mysteries adventures and any encounter with monsters specific to that book are showing up as "Error Finding Monsters". I can run the encounter for the purposes of initiative but otherwise, those encounters are useless. Not sure what changed, but it looks like a lot of things are broke now.
Sorry I was unclear, but I don't have any extensions enabled right now. I was still trying to learn the base functions. Could it be because I'm using DDB without a subscription or could it have something to do with having homebrew copies of monsters? Even the basic monsters that you get for free don't work (such as Aboleth and Adult Black Dragon) and neither do their copies even after I replace the default rollable tag with something created using the Excel sheet by Houligan. The code seems to parse on the site's backend as it doesn't show up on the statblock, but I don't get any clickable box at all either.
You need a subscription to access dice rolling on monster stat blocks as it's an alpha feature.
Ah-hah! Gotcha. I thought since it was in Beta overall it was free. Fair enough though, since I planned on needing more than 5 characters anyways. That should definitely be added to documentation somewhere though, such as the "benefits of subscribing". I looked for it there on my own... But it's also possible I missed it.
So all of my villains are missing their ability to roll for attacks. Meaning the buttons are gone.... This is what it looks like.
Yeah, i have the same problem.
It now just shows sth. like this for a Ghoul:
Without the actual buttons to click on them.
Is this how it's going to be now????? Surely not, hopefully they're just doing some work on it.
I sure hope they fix it soon. I dm a big fight tonight and it really is a handy feature when you have a lot of monsters to manage.
Same here.... I have a game tonight as well
I am having the same problem and my game is tomorrow.

My issue has been resolved, as well. Thanks!
Not for me. Just came back on here to check out the new features and AboveVTT, too... Hope it will be fixed for everyone soon!
Try disabling AboveVTT. Unsupported extensions can interfere with the correct functioning of the site.

I was going off of this post here, which seemed to imply that it was all in beta: https://www.dndbeyond.com/changelog/1134-encounter-beta
