Why can you not change the basic damage type of a mundane weapon? Am I just missing this or is it not a feature?
Example, I'm trying to homebrew a two-handed flail with a reach of 15 ft. and 2d6 bludgeoning/slashing damage. I get that I can't mix the damage types but I should be allowed to edit the flail's base damage stat. RIght?
Unfortunately, no, it is not currently possible to alter a weapon’s base damage. You would have to start with something like a greatsword for the 2d6. Unfortunately it is also impossible to give a weapon a reach of 15 ft.
Yeah, realizing that a 15 ft reach is probably too extreme anyhow.
I don't get why Beyond hasn't added the option for mundane weapons and finer customization. I see the Forum is rife with requests for this. I posted nevertheless because I was hoping I somehow missed the post where they said it was coming or I'd missed it.
Cheers.
