Whenever I try to open any of my character sheets, I get a screen that says: "Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our API check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs. Try again after a Short Rest." The problem persisted for over a day, so I signed out of D&D Beyond and logged back in, but it didn't work. I even went as far as completely closing Chrome and restarting my Macbook, but to no avail. I looked up how to fix the problem, and I read something that said to clear my cache. I did that, and the problem went away temporarily but returned soon after. How can I fix this Issue?

Try clearing your cookies too. That’s been working for many people. What also has worked for some is to uninstall and reinstall chrome.

Are you running any ad/popup blockers, browser extensions, or a VPN that may be interfering with DDB?

I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, turning off my antivirus software, using different browsers, restarting my computer, turning off my router and modem, logging out...I've tried everything and I haven't been able to edit my character at all for nearly 9 months. 

I'm in the same boat. I don't know what could be causing the problem.

I also have this issue. I cannot get any resolution so I submitted a ticket.

I tried to submitted a ticket and they told me they couldn't do anything for me because it was an issue with my device. Seems odd since my laptop is working completely fine with everything else. If you have any luck please let us know!

Okay...do you happen to use an app like Survey Junkie? I just uninstalled it from my PC and my character sheets work again. I also added DnDBeyond.com to the cookie exceptions on FireFox, but uninstalling the SJ Surf to Earn app on my PC made it work on Chrome and Firefox.

Hmmmm I don't but I'll look through programs I have installed on my PC to see if one of those are getting in the way.

I have been having the issue of the "My Characters" page not loading for quite a while now and I have tried clearing cookies, history, turning off add blocker, but i can't get it to load, and can essentailly not use it on my desktop. It is fine to access on my phone. Any ideas what is causing this?

I just went through a cleared somethings up and this helped. It actually loads now. Been stuck not loading for more than a year probably

I made a copy of the character I was having an issue with and immediately the original started working again. Try it out.
