I cannot view existing or create new characters. I have a valid subscription. Support wont address my issue in a timely manner via Email ticket.
Anyone getting this error as well?:
Slots:0/Unlimited
Character Slots Exceeded
Your current D&D Beyond Membership is: MASTER ( slots). To continue, select up to unlimitedcharacters to activate. Your other characters will be deactivated until you restore them by deleting an active character to free up a slot, or by adding more slots with a D&D Beyond Subscription

Can you provide a screenshot that error message? I hate to doubt you, but it looks like you copied the text of it and changed the wording as "( slots)" has a weird extra space between the first parenthesis the word "slots" and "unlimitedcharacters" is missing the space between these words.
Whereas the following image was shared on reddit a while back with a guy complaining about an IT issue but refused to screenshot his entire character list to troubleshoot the issue and just insisted on blaming dndbeyond.
It's not a new issue, here's someone else who had the same issue last year. They're not super clear on their fix, so I'm not sure if you can make it work for you. If not, there's not much you can do but wait on support, which is unfortunate. Don't re-up your ticket, though, that actually moves it down the queue and will take longer.
Thank you for linking this issue. I found a helpful comment which made me realize that the characters where infact deactivated on the day of renewal of subscription and I could reactivate the characters by manually clicking them. My understanding before was that I'd have to deactivate manually all but the ones I'd like to use within the free limit. I'd never had encountered this before and it had me confounded.
Seeing that screenshot, I have no doubt it's a bug of some kind. I want to apologize for my tone in my post earlier today. After dealing with that guy on Reddit a while back, I've gotten a bit defensive about some of the attacks people have made on dndbeyond.
To be fair, those spacing issues really do look like copy/edit mistakes. Now I know weird technical bugs can mess up syntax and spacing in a similar fashion and I shouldn't have jumped the gun. This has me wondering if that email from that Nigerian prince with the bad grammar was a real thing?
having this exact same problem. started by saying I only had six slots and a free account, made an IT ticket with screenshots, and now checking it two days later it's updated to say I have unlimited and a master subscription (which is correct, but I still can't do jack shit in terms of character sheets.) I've got three games to run, total of 12 players, this is so uncool. I feel like D&D as a brand has been letting me down a lot recently...
On the web page under each character is "click to deactivate" click it.
It's been a few days since I got mine working. I thought there was a save button, but maybe just refresh the page, and it aught to be all back to normal.
But! I had a brainwave and remembered D&Dbeyond started as an app, lo and behold the continue button was there for me on the app. I was able to get past the page and re-activate my characters later on desktop!
hope this helps for anyone else suffering from this weird bug.
