I was planning to buy the preorder bundle for Vecna: Eve of Ruin and get the early access but now everytime I try to buy it on the DnD store it sends me here where the marketplace doesn't have an option to buy both for the bundle/early access.
It is. Add the physical one. Then add the digital one. The digital one will then be discounted.

While Cyb3rM1nd is correct in that that's how you'd get the bundled price, due to the marketplace update, physical/digital bundles purchased after April 30th do not get you early access. I don't know the why of that, and I know it's not what the answer you wanna hear right now.
What I can say is that whatever feedback you give me about that decision in response will be added to my massive feedback spreadsheet and escalated.

Since the WotC store is still promoting early access, and US customers can no longer use that store - basically, US customers are being punished? Or has the WotC just not been updated and currently promoting something it will not provide?
This makes no sense at all.

Thank you for clarifying but that is NOT a good way of handling the preorders. As Cyb3rM1nd says, it feels like we (the US players, who are probably your biggest consumer base) are being punished/misled because the store transitioned to this site.
Not being able to stand behind a preorder incentive doesn't really give us much reason to preorder then. I was already on the fence for preordering the digital+physical bundle but I was really excited about that early access. If that was not an offered feature, I'd have just bought the alt cover from my local game store. Hearing this update makes me reconsider ordering any bundles going forward because the incentives may not be honored.
The confusion is understandable and I can see how it's misleading: on the one hand, those who did preorder prior to the marketplace update will still get early access, but the information about the new marketplace not granting early access was added to a few Vecna-related articles that were very easy to miss. Whether or not it's punishment is subjective because I'm sure the dev team wouldn't see it that way, but everyone is welcome to their opinion about that.
That said, frustrating as it is, your feedback is my best weapon, and I will brandish it to the best of my ability.

"What happens if I placed a preorder before the marketplace change?
Your order is safe and sound! If you preordered a bundle containing both physical and digital items, you can still find your order on our partner site. Additionally, your content will unlock on the scheduled early access date. For all other digital purchases, you can check your Order History in the marketplace to find the latest status."
They mentioned that previous preorders from the dndstore website will still get the early access. They just don't say that any of us who order the bundle here will miss out on the early access. Feels like a copout.

This article was updated on May 2, 2024. It previously stated that digital + physical bundle preorders receive early access to the adventure on D&D Beyond. Only preorders for digital + physical bundles made before April 30 are eligible for early access.

one final clarification (and I do appreciate it), was this the plan all along or was this directly as a result of the marketplace update not going as planned?

So.. In order for me to have a digital version (and the bonus adventure), I have to preorder the physical (which I'm already buying the alt cover from a local store) AND digital version?
Agreed - makes no sense for any change on this to be in an article rather than on the product page. Put another tick in your spreadsheet for a customer who thinks what is promised on the product page should always be delivered, lest the customer not trust the company for anything ever again.
I just fought with the DDB marketplace for a solid ten minutes before I checked to see what the heck was up with the digital+physical bundles. Did the deadline really only show up in a couple of articles AFTER that deadline had passed? Yikes, if I didn’t miss something and that’s how it went down, that… sure is a marketing choice.

Hi Zombie,
On the marketplace redesign topic (https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1709-d-d-beyond-marketplace-redesign-see-whats-new-here) it mentions the following:
"What happens if I placed a preorder before the marketplace change?
Your order is safe and sound! If you preordered a bundle containing both physical and digital items, you can still find your order on our partner site. Additionally, your content will unlock on the scheduled early access date. For all other digital purchases, you can check your Order History in the marketplace to find the latest status."

Good morning, I ordered the physical digital bundle in March. There is no official time it starts?
Looks like it unlocks 7 am PST

Yeah, not a good look for a company that needs a win especially after everything that's happened in the last year and a half.
