One of my players wanted to have the Way of the Ascendant Dragon as his Monk subclass, but with some modifications, so I have been trying to include a Monk homebrew subclass, but it does not show up in the character builder, no matter what I do. I have already checked these possible issues:
-The homebrew toggle is on, so that is not the problem
-The character is lvl 3, so options should be appearing anyway. However, I have tried leveling the character up, to see if other options would appear.
-It's been some time since I am trying this (12h), so a delay in the system don't seem to be the problem.
- I have tryed starting the subclass from scrath and using another subclass as a model.
What I believe the problem to be:
-Possibly I am doing something wrong while filling the metadata, which is causing the hole thing to break, but I am not able to figure out what I am doing wrong.
-Something to do with the new ruleset (2024 edition). I only have the 2014 monk class. I can toggle legacy content and all, but when I start a new subclass, I cannot choose from which Monk class to start (2014 or 2024). I believe the 2024 monk template is the deafult, even though I don't have it...
I would very much appreciate if someone could help me.

When you go to create the subclass, scroll down to the “Legacy” section of the classes and make sure you choose that version of the monk:
When creating the character your player also has to be sure to select the “Legacy” version of the class too:
