At this point, this must just be really embarrassing for WoTC. Looks like they tried to keep these emails from going out, as a fix for what happened with the PHB, and didn't know that 'test' account's emails would still go out.
Unfortunately that doesn’t explain why people are seeing duplicate charges on their cards - It looks like something more than just a test email is involved here…
Unless and until multiple charges actually charge your account, as opposed to "pending" there is nothing to do. If more than one change hits your account, dispute it. That's one of the purposes of a charge card, to buffer your bank account cash form merchants. If your card won't let you dispute it, or rejects your dispute, time to get a charge card that does not suck.
True… it would just be nice if there was better comms around this like “Hi everyone- If you see duplicate charges Pending don’t worry as we’ve backed one out”
Got two cancellation emails, had the double charge. Now my order history has nothing in it except the few books I got a few days ago. No preorders, not even the other books I bought in June. My digital licenses are still good and the DMG is already in shipping but uh
Again with the payment failure, this is pathetic at this point. got an email that said that the book was on the way yesterday and then two payment error emails today. tracking says its on its way regardless so at least i have that going for me :/

I found it pre-filters the order history. Try going to Order History, then click ‘Show Filters’, bump it up to 6 months, and then tick every box. After that it showed up for me.
I'm glad to have found this thread right away. I got the two emails this morning and panicked until I read the replies here. Hopefully this gets sorted and we get some clarity.
Having the same issue but was paid through Google pay. Got the bundle package and even though payment had been taken out for both digital and physical and its on the bank statement as pending, I got both emails saying payment failed and item canceled. Ive filed a ticket but honestly their customer support is a joke and I don't expect anything to be resolved. :/
I used my credit card and had my DMG canceled as well. I put in a ticket to see what's up on their end to avoid repurchasing and end up with 2 copies or something.
In addition to the cancellation email I received - after an email the other day saying that the DMG was being sent out - I can’t even find the 3-book order in my order/payment history. Really hoping they sort this out soon.

Whelp, don't feel bad on the PayPal side folks, same thing happened to me and I used the same old AMEX for any other purchases I make. Not our issue.

My emails came from orders@dndbeyond.com and my order history shows it cancelled.
