I am creating some homebrew species for a campaign, however it looks like one of those species is having some unusual reads on their skill bonuses. I've designed and balanced them to be similarly scaled to 5e2014 races/species; usually a total of 3 points ASI at baseline between various attributes and one or two special abilities. We're testing out some characters and one of my players was attempting to change her character's species. The original calculated normally:
After not seeing the issue in both species pages in my homebrew collection, a more experienced DM friend of mine generated a level one character with the species and got this:
One of my players generated a character with this species before which had much more normal stats for the level, so I was wondering if this is a known issue in homebrew species and if so how it would best be fixed?

Hi,
I am creating some homebrew species for a campaign, however it looks like one of those species is having some unusual reads on their skill bonuses. I've designed and balanced them to be similarly scaled to 5e2014 races/species; usually a total of 3 points ASI at baseline between various attributes and one or two special abilities. We're testing out some characters and one of my players was attempting to change her character's species. The original calculated normally:

Then when she changed from one to the other, changing no other selections of class or equipment, the character sheet looked like this:

After not seeing the issue in both species pages in my homebrew collection, a more experienced DM friend of mine generated a level one character with the species and got this:

One of my players generated a character with this species before which had much more normal stats for the level, so I was wondering if this is a known issue in homebrew species and if so how it would best be fixed?
Thanks in advance!
No offense, but I’m not going to click those links. If you want to embed images into your post directly you can learn how here: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/general-discussion/193584-how-to-post-images-in-forum-posts-and-pms-here-on).
It would be advantageous if you could please include images of the Modifiers you added to your species. That would help me diagnose your issue more effectively.
