RELEASE NOTES
The Illrigger Revised features the all-new class Illrigger, complete with 5 subclasses! Illriggers are versatile armored warriors with a wide array of supernatural abilities that reflect the infernal source of their power. Depending on their contract they can be highly mobile stealthy assassins, heavily armored battlefield commanders, or fighting illusionists. Also included in The Illrigger Revised are new magic items and spells.
The Illrigger Revised is published by MCDM.

ENABLING CONTENT FOR YOUR CHARACTER
To use content from The Illrigger Revised in the character builder, you will need to set the character preferences to include the MCDM source category (see the .gif below).
NEW CLASS
This book features the new class, Illrigger, and 5 subclasses: Architect of Ruin, Hellspeaker, Painkiller, Sanguine Knight, and Shadowmaster. These are mostly supported as expected with a few notes.
Illrigger Class
Combat Mastery feature "Lies" option is unsupported.
Blood Price feature is unsupported.
Infernal Majesty feature is mostly supported with a few notes. This feature was implemented so that you can "activate" the effect from a dropdown in the character sheet. This activation provides the player buffs but cannot support buffs to the features Blood Price and Terrorizing Force. Actions outlining the effect on the two features have been added for ease of reference.
Master of Hell feature is partially supported with a few notes. The different hellstorm effects can be selected and provide actions to the character sheet, these actions do not fully reflect the entirety of the damage effects outlined in the feature but do include all relevant information.
Architect of Ruin Subclass
Asmodeus's Interdiction feature "Spellbreaker (13th Level)" provides access to the Counterspell spell. If you have both 2024 and Legacy content enabled in the character builder, you will be prompted to select which version of the spell you wish to use when you reach 13th level.
Hellspeaker Subclass
Moloch's Blessing feature grants proficiency in Persuasion or Deception and, if the player already has proficiency, grants Expertise in the chosen skill. At this time, we are unable to support this functionality.
NEW MAGIC ITEMS
This book includes 2 new items: Bloodsbane and True Name. While some of their functionality is supported, we wanted to note a few things.
Bloodsbane is a potion that can be applied to weapons that, after being mixed with specific ingredients, applies various effects to the weapon. We are unable to support these effects on the weapons, but we recommend utilizing the "customize" feature in the character sheet to input when your weapon has been coated in Bloodsbane!
True Name is a weapon that, depending on its rarity, empowers an Illrigger's Baleful Interdict feature. At this time this is not supported, as magic items are not able to directly affect the class features.
RETAINERS
This book features 5 Retainers, a Creature Role previously featured in Flee, Mortals!. As Retainers rely on a character's CR/Level to scale its stats, we're unable to support them at this time.
DAZED
This book references dazed, a new condition initially introduced in Flee, Mortals!, we have included in the compendium the rules regarding dazed. We're otherwise currently unable to support this new condition.
Is this version of the Illrigger designed to be fully 2024 rules compatible? I know that the MCDM team designed the class, but I'd appreciate some clarity on version. It seems like it's a 2014 rules class still, given:
The reference to multiclassing being an optional rule
The class not receiving Weapon Mastery at any point.
The equipment granted is all marked as Legacy.
There's a few things I picked up on:
Starting equipment. The text for starting equipment is missing from the class page.
Starting equipment. The option of "two martial weapons" only gives me a single dropdown to select one weapon.
Subclasses. After selecting a subclass, it shows me two separate features called "Invoke Hell" (one from the class, the other from the subclass). There is no checkbox on the character sheet to track whether the feature has been used. Please can you add the charges?
Subclass: Architect of Ruin - Spells known. At level 3, the subclass allows my character to know 3 spells (+2 cantrips). I was able to select 4 spells.
Subclass: Hellspeaker - Moloch's Blessing. My character already has proficiency in persuasion from my background. Selecting persuasion again here should move that to expertise, however instead it replaces my background selection, causing the background selection to be unmade.
Subclass: Painkiller - Devastator. The snippet text changes the actual rules for this from the full text, "As an action, when you make a weapon attack" is not the same as, "As an action, you invoke the authority of Dispater. You make a weapon attack and..."
For Combat Mastery "Lies" it's probably helpful to note that players can workaround this by clicking on their weapon and customizing it in the sidebar, to update the "to hit bonus" and "damage bonus" as well as adding a note that it's the selected Combat Mastery weapon.
Blood Price is easy enough to track. Hit dice are easily spent without a full short rest, after all. Sangromancy and other Hit Dice-centric effects could easily be tied to the short rest menu.
And as for Lies? Code it like Hexblade-Pact of the Blade 2014 Warlock interaction.
Not sure how to feel about being the first person to report a bug for this new class but I will just roll with it. I wasmking a character with the Illrigger class just to get a feel with it and noticed that the Bravado Combat Mastery which shates my ac should be 19 is instead a 23 as my dexterity bonus is still there even when it should not be.

I was just about to report this as well. The Bravado Combat Mastery is adding Dexterity Twice if you are not wearing armor, but thankfully it does calculate properly if you equip armor.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters? provide feedback here!
A lot of the spells have issues, either showing incorrect information, ie displaying a spell attack to hit when the spell asks for a save.
Additionally the cantrip hellfire is completely broken, not rolling necrotic damage and at higher levels, not even scaling the necrotic damage, which is incorrect - of course you can't even roll for it even if it was scaling correctly currently.
There are also some quality of life things such as abating seal not having an option to roll the d10+half of character level, would be nice to have that. Another being that axiomatic seals, which is a passive and always on, does not automatically add damage to seals. With it being always on, it logically would make sense that this is added to the seals damage as soon as the feature is unlocked - or at least a toggle.
Not sure if I saw it mentioned before but a minor issue:
Vengeful Blade (cantrip) is showing up as an attack spell, where it should be identical to how Booming Blade is set up - more of a 'built in' function with a melee weapon and the damage increases with levels.
Bug:Hellfire's damage is not scaling properly; only the Fire damage is increased, when both damage components should scale together.
Specifically, I built a 10th level Illrigger (Architect of Ruin). According to the spell description, at that level Hellfire should be dealing 2d4 Fire and 2d4 Necrotic. When clicking the damage field of the spell to cast it, however, it is dealing 2d4 Fire and 1d4 Necrotic. I can only assume this problem persists into higher levels, with Necrotic being stuck at only 1d4.
This may be the wrong place for this question, but if we already paid for the Illrigger class through MCDM directly, does it also now need to be purchased through D&D Beyond to make use of it here, or is there some kind of account sync or discount code that will transfer it over?

YES, you must purchase the book again, here on Beyond, to use it in the character creator.
Every book you buy elsewhere, is only bought elsewhere. To gain access to that book's contents on Beyond, you must buy it again here. This is just as true for the Illrigger, as it is for the Players' Handbook.
It looks like the Lies feature doesn’t allow a drop down to select a weapon type in D&D Beyond. Could you please add this feature so the STR/DEX modifier is automatically replaced with the CHA modifier for the selected weapon type?
Thank you in advance and for adding this new class!

.... have you checked to see it it's a tickbox on the weapon itself , like the Hex weapon ability of the Hexblade?
The Architect of Ruin's spell list doesn't include the 2014 version of Suggestion, and it doesn't include the 2014 or 2024 versions of Nystul's Magic Aura as it should. It correctly includes Arcanist's Magic Aura.
Edit: The 2014 version of Silence is also missing from the list.
BUG: Hellspeaker ability "Moloch's Blessing" grants proficiency in either Persuasion or Deception, or if you already have proficiency in the chosen skill, grants you Expertise in that skill.
However, if you already have both skills, you are unable to select either of them, blocking you from achieving Expertise.

This, can’t choose neither to have the proficiency bonus doubled for the roll to make a check

Whenever I try to use the Architect of Ruin subclass, I am not able to get any spells in addition to the same issues stated previously.
Looks like war caster is bugged for Architect of Ruin, It does not show up under feats at level 4.

Hellfire cantrip is coded as both an attack and as a CHA save.
Vengeful Blade shows the wrong damage dice.
ASI's use the 2014 format.
I'm looking forward to fixes, the class seems pretty cool!
A small thing I noticed is that the snippet code for the charm enemy feature from the Hellspeaker subclass reads 'DC +13' instead if 'DC 13'
Not sure if I saw it mentioned before but a minor issue:
Vengeful Blade (cantrip) is showing up as an attack spell, where it should be identical to how Booming Blade is set up - more of a 'built in' function with a melee weapon and the damage increases with levels.
