I seem to remember a bunch of threads about this saying it would be available after the character sheet revamp, but I am unable to find it. Is this feature implemented yet or will it be available at a later date?
Yes. When you're in the Limited Use of an action on a sublass and setting the number of uses, you can choose to set a modifier. So you would set the manual box to 0, and then choose the relevant modifier.
How do you get that section to show up? I can see it if I clone off of an existing subclass that has it (e.g. Cleric Tempest Domain --> Wrath of the Storm). I don't see it if I create a subclass from scratch.
Never mind. It suddenly showed up. Weirdest thing. I was even looking in the source code for the page and didn't see it show up. Maybe I added it at the wrong type of Action first and then changed it alter but the page didn't update?

Limited Use options appear after you have created an action with a reset type, and saved it.
Hi! Does anyone know if you can make an ability have two ways to reset? Like Tides of chaos for sorcerers has a limited use of 1 time per long rest, but you can also get it back by rolling on the wild surge table? Can I add something similar to this when creating a subclass? Thanks in advance!
Sure, you can make it reset under any circumstance you want. Just list it in the description and any time that condition is met the player just has to remember to uncheck the box.
Ye I did that. Put it as "reset type other". I would just like to have it so that it automatically resets when you take a long rest aswell. But I guess this works, just have to remember to uncheck it every time.
Is there a way to make the amount of uses scale on character level? I know this thread is old but I can't seem to figure it out. I was the ability to gain a d6 use for each character level. Like, at level 7, you have 7 uses of the action that uses the 1d6.

You'd need to make a separate Limited Use for each level, e.g. "Number of Uses: 1, Level: 1", "Number of Uses: 2, Level: 2", etc.
But please note that will make the amount of uses scale with Class level, not Character level, if this is in a Subclass feature.
If you want it to scale with total character level, use a homebrew feat.

Is there any way to link multiple limited use actions together? I am kind of using the subclass homebrew to add the features for an entire homebrew class. There are several things that all have the same pool of dice, but I have to go through and manually reduce the number from each feature in the character sheet. Instead would like to see if it could work like bardic inspiration, where every feature linked to it reduces the number of dice.

Yes, you create one action that contains all of the limited uses, and then attach the other actions to the same feature, or related features. You don’t give those other actions limited uses at all, they just all use the pool from the first action. That’s how ki, sorcery, points, and superiority dice were all programmed.
So I would create a feature, then add an action to the feature with limited use data. And then if I create another action under that same feature, would I just not add any limited use data to the following features? Would I still be able to adjust the pool from within those features, and they would all be linked? Right now, I went in and edited the features, and removed their limited use data, and just kept the first one's. However, now I am only able to see the dice pool on the first feature, and the others just don't show the pool at all, just have written down the description of the feature.
Yeah, that’s the way it works. The first action holds the limited uses and the others don’t have any. You won’t see the limited uses on the other actions, but they will be attached to the feature so you can deal with them all in the same place under Features & Traits.

Wow thank you so much! Did not expect a comment on this very old thread, I will try that tonight
