I noticed when I am creating a new subclass I do not have the option to do so for a lot of the Rogue options from Xanathar's Guide to everything (despite owning it); I have options to edit the Inquisitive and Scout, but not the Mastermind or Swashbuckler.
I haven't checked through all the other sub-classes for you, but you should have a look at this and make sure they are all there to tinker with.
Since Swashbuckler first appeared in SCAG and you have it in Xanathar's (but I'm guessing haven't bought SCAG on this site), I would surmise that you are experiencing the same issue identified in this thread about monster homebrew. That is, elements (like monsters, subclassses, etc.) that have appeared in more than one purchasable work (e.g. both SCAG and Xanathar's, or both Volo's and TOA) cannot be copied/used as a base for homebrew if the account owner purchased it from the a source other than the first place it appeared. So if you had bought Swashbuckler from SCAG, you could probably copy it for homebrew. In the same way, because I got Champion (the NPC, not the subclass) through TOA and not Volo's (where it first appeared), I can't use it as a base.
I think this is something on your end because they all show up for me to copy if I wanted.
You are sure you got the whole book on D&D Beyond through the marketplace and did not purchase only some of the archetypes individually, right? And you entered "rogue" in the box for what class to make a subclass for?
Was this a very recent purchase and if so did you try refreshing the browser and clearing your browser cache?
Do the subclasses show up when you make a Level 3 Rogue character?
And, to once again ask, you purchased the book/subclasses and this is not relying on somebody else content sharing? Just want to be absolutely certain here, brain memory can glitch sometimes, so its worth checking just case.

Not sure I understand this, I was able to copy Rogue subclasses, all of these same ones, without SCAG when only having PHB and XGtE. Granted that was quite some time ago, so possible this glitch you speak of has occurred after that but that seems unlikely.

I very much have that list sans Mastermind and Swashbuckler. And I defiantly own the PHB and XGtE.
I do think this should be fixed; I bought int D&D Beyond yesterday to help my players create characters, or let me make them for them and they be able to edit them (having grabbed the masters subscription as well); and am rather miffed that I might have to pay $2 or whatever to be able to simply copy content I have a digital and physical copy off!
I'm new to using D&D Beyond, and don't want to type everything out by hand as I often do not fully jive with how the toolset works!
Luckily we have a few weeks to sort this out before this player hits 3rd level! But I really would appreciate a solution other than "buy again what you already own!"

Thank you for checking, you'd be surprised how often people go "I bought X and it doesn't show!" only to later realise they actually didn't buy it. We had to be sure. Definitely sounds like a bug. This forum is monitored very frequently so you should receive a response from a moderator or dev soon.

As right you should be and nobody is asking you to pay again. Please allow time for site staff to respond. Arwen and I are just seeing if we could expedite the resolution by offering opinions and forming questions that can rule out the common causes.

Buying something again is not a solution and nobody is saying you have to. Please be assured that the site staff will look into this when they can and should hopefully be able to resolve this for you, or at least provide a possible explanation. Your patience is appreciated.

I think I misread things as "this is how the site works forever" rather than "this is how the site works currently, oops". I think I was worried if i didn't state that I it would be classed as solved and not looked at. =+.+=
I am in no urgent rush however! Thanks for replying at all <3, sorry again!
Just jumping in to say that there does appear to be an issue, as explained by ArwensDaughter above, with using content as a template, when that content has been published by Wizards of the Coast in multiple books.
I've reported it to the dev team and will endeavour to update the relevant threads with any feedback.

Hum,
To me this a bug and not a feature!

But thanks for pointing out why this is an issue!

Nobody is saying otherwise.
