Hi, I am constantly being asked to verify that I am a human and not a bot by reCAPTCHA. This happens to me every 10-15 minutes. This is starting to feel like harassment. It says to allow javascript and cookies for this website, which I have done yet I am still being harassed by the reCAPTCHA. Is there anything you can do about this because I thought this was a lovely website but ever since the reCAPTCHA started popping up and continuously saying I failed the captcha, even though I know I didn't, the website has started to lose its user friendliness. Again I would appreciate it if you could do something about this because I have had to verify myself as a human and not a bot 15 times today.
What browser are you using? There are some cloud based browsers that, due to being used frequently for malicious purposes (such as as data scraping) can trigger false positives on the reCAPTCHA.
It's likely not meant to be targeted at you, just some systems can clash, much like how an update to NordVPN is blocking parts of the site from working.

Establish boundaries. And if anyone crosses them, speak up. If they don’t listen, there’s always cloudkill …
Try loading the site in incognito mode and see if it happens. Extensions could be the issue
I just removed the extension because I was just asked to verify again. As soon as I removed it, the reCAPTCHA only had me verify once instead of me having to do it multiple times because "I failed" I don't know if it for sure fixed so I am going to continue watching

So I just got on earlier today and it kept doing it. Granted it isn't as much as before but when it does it I still have to fill out the captcha multiple times before it lets me access the site again. I don't know what else to do.
Okay so I literally not but two seconds ago had to do another captcha. and it had me do it four times. then it didn't even load the page and it made me refresh and asked me to do the captcha again and that one took four tries as well. this is getting ridiculous
Hello, please reach out to our Support team with some more information on your device, browser and what you're doing on the site when you're receiving these messages.
Just a heads up, I had an extremely similar issue with ReCAPTCHA showing up every few pages I clicked on. I think I just found a solution after working on almost everything else. I tried making sure that cookies were enabled, nothing, found the area for javascript and made sure that was on, nothing. I even went and deleted all my browsing data, thinking that maybe it could see that I hadn't done it in a while and it still kept asking to make sure that I was human. I have been using chrome the entire time so I know it wasn't the browser that people kept bringing up.
Finally I got fed up and deleted my Chrome outright and reinstalled it. So far I've been on the site for 30+ minutes with no issues with it asking me to fill out a recaptcha. Hope this helps.
I've had all of the exact same problems with the same frustrations. I too, have tried everything I, and the rest of the internet can think of, without success.

Are you using Twitch to log in? Twitch recently changed some things, and that seems to be causing this issue for some folks.
You said you tried everything....have you contacted support as MellieDM suggested upthread?
Having the same issue... makes d&d sessions pure hell. I also followed all directions on the captcha page as far as javascript, cookies and pop-up blockers.
I do not have twitch, but sometimes ( not always ) have roll20.net up. I have not contacted support - I typically start with the forums before doing so.

Yeah tried that, MULTIPLE times. Support keep saying "must be something your end, change stuff" and closing the cases as solved. This is less than stellar support work.
Don't bother opening support cases for this, it is a waste of time.
I am going to try the uninstall band reinstall browser suggestion from above.
Is there a work around case if we sign in via twitch and that is the issue?

If you suspect twitch is the culprit (which I highly doubt, to be honest) then link a gmail account and use that instead.
Also, will mention you should check which browser you use (some browsers such as Puffin work by rendering the site through a cloud service, which is common for hackers when trying to do bad things to a site which makes the security system of some website think you're a bot) and what extensions or VPNs you may be using (as some do something similar to the Puffin browser I mentioned, and result in the same problem). Some browsers, like Opera, have a VPN built in that might be affecting things too.
Also, the reason why Support keep closing it as a user issue is because it IS a user issue. Sites need to have security measures in place and some VPNs/etc don't take this into account - resulting in some incompatibility. Bigger sites can use more sophisticated methods and be more accepting with multilayered services and backups and so on, but smaller companies like D&D Beyond, need to use simpler systems to be effective at blocking certain bastages. So, for a very small subsection of users using some VPNs, browsers, extensions and such as, will get issues. It is not a fault of the site, as they should be protecting themselves, and is a limitation of the security setups available for their type of site and not some lacking in their developers. No system is perfect and things will clash. This is normal. This site has millions of users - if a tiny handful has issues, that's already better than expected.
The site has done all it can to be accessible while maintaining security and data integrity. The rest is up to you, the user. If your system setup is causing an access problem when millions of others aren't -- yeah, that be squarely in the "you" column. Re-adjust your setup, or whitelist the site, etc if you want to use the site.

To put USER ISSUE into context. Yes I agree it is a setting at my end. I have posted details of my browser settings to the support site and I requested to know what was causing it, what settings do I need to change to make it work. But a deafening silence or it is your problem.
This was working fine for years until very recently, so something changed and my opinion is if there is an algorithm that is deciding that I am behaving as a scripting bot then that algorithm should be able to spell out how to use the site as it is intended - ie what setting do I need to tick in an industry standard browser to use the site.
I am very disappointed that no help was forthcoming in that regard.
Since my previous post Firefox has been working ok so it looks like the issue is in the Edge browser I prefer. I have tried to "repair" the edge browser but no change.
I reiterate - what settings are required in Edge for it to work ... but I suspect the support staff will not reply to that query and keep closing the requests as solved. I think my request to know what settings are required is a valid one.

I am using Google Chrome. I never had this problem in the past. Could it be the live wallpapers add-on I added to Chrome?
