Well, I went through all the sourcebooks and picked out all the race/subrace, class/subclass content. I was prepping a campaign and wanted my players to have access to whatever they wanted in terms of character creation. Forked out about $90 and then and additional Master Tier subscription. All this to find out that if you don't purchase the WHOLE sourcebook, your players do NOT get access to any of that content.
I did quite a bit of reading prior to this and didn't get the indication that you had to buy the whole book to share content. Now I'm $150 in the hole on fruitless purchases. As much as I wanted to run a digital campaign, looks like we'll have to go back to paper.
Is there any future thought to allowing all purchased content to be shared so people can pay/share for what they want, and not what they don't?
Pretty upsetting, looking for the silver lining if this will be fixed in the future.
If content sharing is enabled, then every character in that campaign should be able to access everything that anyone in the campaign has purchased, even ala carte purchases. Please double check that theses things are happening:
Content sharing was in fact enabled for the campaign.
Your players are building their characters specifically in that campaign (or else they will not be able to see your content).
Edit* Great news. It looks like the issue is that it can take a few hours for content to sync. This morning we woke up after a night of frustration and everything was as it should be. Lesson learned - make sure to make any content purchases or account upgrades at least a day out to prevent sync lag for your content sharing!
